Although I guess this is political, keep the COVID misinformation in the COVID thread, no need to try and get more discussion on it in here.
The science is still amazingly clear on COVID, even though so many want to armchair expert it now.
The problem is that the conservative movement to delegitimize science and objective fact is now stronger than ever, and even really kooky "doctors" (like chiropractors claiming to fix illnesses by fixing your spine!, or witch doctors that will give you some moss, twigs, and ground up antler to fix your bloating!) which used to be clearly seen as kookery, are now being touted as equals to medical doctors or scientists with years of research, experience, and honesty.
Although I do think natural selection would win, I still don't think it is right that a medical group allow doctors to give Hydroxychloroquine and Ivermectin to patients, because it is clear that won't heal them. Their job is to create the best environment for outcomes, not to make someone who has no good reason to take medicine to take it. That won't stop people who want to do what they want to do, but it may save a life or two, which is why they have to take these stands.
