Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Tuesday

1. I need to eat something good for dinner but the weather doesn't make me want to leave.
2. I hope the night meeting goes quick.
3. I need to have someone iron all my shirts. I am horrible at it.
4. Picking paint colors is not something I enjoy.
5. Wires. Lots of wires.

2) The weather is going to be cold this coming weekend, but I pray that it starts to warm up after that.
3) Pondering if I want to go workout or not tonight. If am not feeling well, I wonder if it is a good idea... or maybe it is a great idea and will help me.
4) Wife just informed me that chicken for tacos in the crockpot did not go so well today. I did not add enough water and they are rock hard. Not Good... Which means we order Pizza and it makes working out afterwards worthless.
5) Oh look, it is snowing. :-@
 
1. A bunch of stuff just happens. There is no Point.
2. neighbor's oven caught fire last night. No one got hurt.
3. Usually the worst part about fire damage is not the areas that get burnt, but all the smoke damage
4. No matter what happens in life a new equilibrium imposes itself. Change, however, is not generally regarded as a good thing.
5. One of the biggest reasons steam driven cars did not catch on (e.g. the Stanley Steamer) was because it took them about 20 minutes to build up enough steam to move.
 
1) Long day today, with ZBA and P&Z.
2) Came in my regular time today, and 3 people are here before me - strange.
3) Staff meeting this morning - whee.
4) Hubby's in a good mood right now - big plus!
5) Scheduled a day off for this spring - thinking of visiting some nature!
 
1. It's going to be soggy here for the next couple days while everything dries up.
2. Good warm chili last night for dinner on a cold icy evening
3. The Girl becomes a teenager tomorrow. Her sleepover party is Friday night with five other girls of similar age. Please pray for Mrs. P & me.
4. Lightly salted cashews are a fine snack
5. I don't collect old coins, but I do have some laying around
 
1) Today is going to be a long day. I think a lunchtime nap is a must.
2) Last night the warm front brought in crazy thick fog and a decent thunderstorm this morning.
3) I made hamburgers for dinner last night on an electric skillet. It was the first time I didn't use a frying pan and I think they turned out great.
4) I researched stuff for my new house last night and stayed up a bit too late.
5) Found out that one of our new neighbors who also has kids, have the same first name as my wife and I. If the have a son with the same name as Miniskis I am going to start listening for the twilight zone music.
 
1. Meeting with nothing on the agenda. Yet we are still having the meeting. Love it.
2. I don't get jewelry. Why spend money on it?
3. I want a new bike. I hope to get more exercise.
4. Organization. I need to do better at that.
5. What to have for dinner? I want something good.
 
1. Working from home can be productive and challenging.
2. I don't think I've done anything I've regretted.
3. I'm saving money for a new bike.
4. Does anyone else have that friend who goes on and on about medical issues and shares way too much info?

1. Finally mostly moved into the new house.
2. I don't think I've ever spent as much $ in so short a time as I have in the past 3 weeks. :(8-!
3. I will be glad when there will no longer be contractors in my house.
4. On the plus side, baby girl is doing awesome and gets cuter by the day.
5. Between busyness at work and this house stuff, I don't think I've even needed a vacation more than now.

1) One meeting canceled due to lack of quorum. Applicant really pissed.
2) Second meeting will still happen - director has a case to present!
3) Still not going to be home for dinner :D
4) Really want to go shoe shopping for some reason. The weather, maybe?

1) This homebuilding thing is going to give me an ulcer. Lot choice number 2 has a public drain easement along the side and a private drain easement along the back. A 3rd choice opened up, but because of a neighboring lot, we would need to go with our second elevation choice. However, it is a bigger lot without any utility easements. I am thinking it is something that I can deal with, but I am waiting to hear from my wife on this one.
2) I am returning my fitbit today. It was awesome, but something about the band caused my skin to break out. I am going to get a watch instead with the refund money.
3) Tonight is Taco night! Wife and kids having chicken tacos, but I am having beef tacos with one habanero and two serrano peppers mixed into the meat.
4) Philo Farnsworth is proof that just because you invent something, does not mean that you get paid.
5) I have a key on my key ring that I am unsure what it locks or unlocks.
 
1) Full agenda tonight, and I have 2 public hearings on school sites.
2) Staff meeting went well this morning.
3) Nice weather, very low chance of rain. May take a walk at lunch.
4) Got handed a zoning case on a sketchy piece of property. Whee.
5) Phone call yesterday informed staff that a problematic applicant has passed on. Sad to hear - will definately make application meetings less interesting for a while.
 
1. Got a commissioner who keeps getting involved in city business, but it's okay, he's a resident.
2. Lost a permit
3. On the plus side my desk is a little cleaner after looking
4. Happy hour at Buffalo Wild Wings
5. It's sad that BWW is the best we can do for happy hour.
 
1. I hate appraisals.
2. I very much dislike appraisers.
3. I dislike my bank.
4. I dislike the person who is helping me from my bank.
5. I do like my builder though.
 
1. I got home later than usual so I'll be grilling a steak in the dark.
2. My town has a lot of events where local musicians sing and play.
3. If the woman who played Thelma Lou moved to Mt. Airy, why can't I?
4. Some of my coworkers are making tons of extra work for a couple of us.
5. I'm working at home tomorrow.
 
1. I'd like to have my first car again
2. Tomorrow and Thursday are going to be very busy
3. BoJangles will give me a free sausage biscuit - if I go online, answer 25 questions and give them my email address for "special savings"
4. It's too pretty to stay inside today
5. Beer:30 can't come soon enough
 
1) The coldest it will get in the next 10 days will be 50 or higher. I think I can deal with that. Time to start leaving the windows open at night.
2) People are getting all fired up for March Madness around here.
3) I feel like I could take a nap right now.
4) On Thursday, I go out to meet with the developer regarding our new house. I has stated that I am correct that the house needs to get flipped to work correctly on the lot.
5) Time change is this weekend.
 
1) Tornado warnings and watch this morning, then sunshine at lunch. HUMID!
2) Went to the rec center to use the indoor track at lunch, rather than walk in the humidity.
3) Working on plat reports now, and am ready for a nap.
4) My evil coworker brought in cookies - which defeats my lunchtime walk :-{
5) Planning summer vacay! :D
 
  1. I hate being a landlord.
  2. As soon as I get rid of my current tenant, I'll either sell the place or contract with a property manager.
  3. It's my townhouse that I didn't sell when we bought our house
  4. The market sucked when we moved so we kept it.
  5. This is the second tenant in 10.5 years. The first was there for 10 yrs untill he died on the way home from work.
 
1. Planit should recruit a few of us to take the Bojangles quiz for him.
2. Tonight's news had two reports that have something to do with two of our projects.
3. Those people don't want that Walmart because they want to keep those people out of their town.
4. One of my sons can really make me laugh.
5. The other one can, too, during the half of the time he isn't grumpy.
 
1. 2 presentations today...Rotary and City Council
2. It's gorgeous outside today...I drove an indirect route back to the office from the Rotary lunch presentation
3. Finished our department budget yesterday...evening while sitting at home with the music cranked and a beer in my hand
4. I need to complete my annual Spring Training ritual this weekend...watching Bull Durham
5. Holy cow Finance...more paperwork!!?!??!?!
 
1. The weekend was too busy and I got no sleep; now I'm exhausted.
2. The cleaning crew at the vacation rental didn't do any laundry; they claimed we were out of detergent.
3. The detergent bottle was almost full -- sitting on the shelf RIGHT NEXT TO the washing machine.
4. The cleaning crew also didn't replace the garbage bags, put the furniture in the right place, or remove the sheets from the pull-out couch.
5. I hate the cleaning crew for the vacation rental!!
 
1) My back is improving but still has a long way to go.
2) Looks like it might be in the 70's when my dad is visiting from the UP.
3) I have a strange sense of peace right now. I wonder if it is the pain killers.
4) My wife has been awesome the past few days. She even took out the garbage for me this morning on her way out to work.
5) I think I have narrowed down my watch search. I am going to think about it and pray about it for the next few days. If I still feel the same as I do today I will order it.

2. The Midway service plaza is mid-way between where we entered the Turnpike at Carlisle and where we'll get off the Pike, which is the original western terminus of the Pike. Look it up - that info is too close to home to post.
3. My coworker is can't drive well if he's eating, drinking pop, or, well, driving.
4. I'd like to explore Harrisburg, but I've heard too many bad stories.

Harrisburg is ok. York is cooler and the staff at the convention and visitors center is awesome.
 
1. The assistant is gone this week, but at least he didn't send out a bunch a addressing or code violations letters out this time before he left

3. I think I'm going to play golf on Friday - a good Friday indeed
2. My midmorning snack is usually a handful of cashews

1) Made breakfast in the crock pot for the office staff meeting (we rotate the breakfast bringing) and it came out quite tasty.
2) Brought along some croissants just in case, and didn't need them!
3) Am on my second cup of coffee, and it's helping.
4) Almost done with my reports for the next P&Z meeting - early!
5) Cold morning, but will be a lovely afternoon.
 
1. We seem to be having winter and spring this week.
2. Easter dinner is on my closed in porch.
3. My coworker told the development people that every project associated with the airport should stop, and I was proud of her.
4. Someone left a bottle of grape-flavored water on my desk. It's not too bad.
5. The ad at the top of this page says "Homes in Pittsburg". That's it. No "h".

1) I did not sleep well last night. 4 cups of coffee so far today.
2) It was cold this morning but it turned out very nice.
3) I have a ton of cleaning and stuff I need to get done before my dad gets here on Friday.
4) It will be a 4 day weekend for me.
5) I have been using my notebook quite a bit the past few weeks.
 
1. Quiet week at the office. Half my co-workers are going to a Millennial Summit in Vegas.
2. I like quiet weeks. I actually get stuff done.
3. It's me and the wife's anniversary this weekend.
4. We'll be staying at a B&B in Bisbee, AZ.

4) Short week - I'm off Friday - but cramming a ton of work into 4 days. Including an extra night meeting.
5) Want to really tie one on while on vacation this weekend, but not sure I should.

1. Just finished a site visit to a dock project that my company is working on (and Im handling permitting for). I had to sneak onto a ferry dock but I was like "whatevs" because we notified the muni that retained us that I'd be there.
2. Its windy on the Hudson!!
3. Trains go CHOO CHOO unless they are electric, than they glide divine on the third rail.
4. I want to drive a manual transmission school bus, that'd be cool.
5. Id like to see #blacklivesmatter protest the APA convention, that would be badass and funny at the same time.
6. Im translating my resume into French, maybe you can guess why ;)
 
1. I'm trying to be as efficient as possible with my packing so I don't have to check a bag when flying to Phoenix.
2. Sometimes free help isn't really free at all.
3. The "post a lie" thread doesn't interest me in the slightest.
4. I keep debating with myself how much cash I should take to Phoenix.
5. Supposedly we get per diem but I haven't seen anything yet or know what the going rate is.
 
1. Gots to get a pedicure for Phoenix.
2. My conference attire will be sundresses and shorts!
3. This will be my last National Conference for a while.
4. Seeing your parents age is difficult but better than the alternative.

2. Prepping my boss for the redevelopment authority meeting on Monday because I won't be here.
3. Trying to decide if I want to do a site tomorrow with DPW.
4. It's going to be a late night at work and at home.
5. Will need to pack tonight because I am going directly to JFK after work tomorrow.

3. I'm now trying to figure out what underhanded trick they want to pull

1) Working on slides for a previously-postponed training, but my brain wants more excitement
2) Went to the gym at lunch, but then nullified that effort by eating the crust of lunch pizza
3) Can't decide on music these days - keep switching the channels around, barely lasting one song each
4) Anyone else ready for some time off? I just had a Friday off, but now I want another!
5) What's going on with Mother Nature???
