1. I am truly sick of being sick.
2. I think Matt Damon should portray me in the movies, not so much for looks as for character
3. I like idea of buffets

1. Finally feeling better. Just in time to go to a wedding in Florida on Thursday.
2. I want to eat healthy. There are just so few options.
3. A cookie a day keeps my anger away.
4. I want to run more. I need to move to Florida.
5. Night meeting #2 of this week tonight. Yes!
 
1) My middle son is upset every morning that he does not get to wear his curious george T-shirt. It is even worse the day after he does get to wear it.
2) Late afternoon/ early evening meeting yesterday, evening meeting tonight, boy scout meeting tomorrow night. Yea, I am ready for a few days off.
3) Miniskis turns 7 tomorrow. He is having his birthday party at a bowling alley this weekend.
4) My wife pointed out that she likes the PC operating system better than the mac OS and wants the next computer to be a PC. :not:
5) I have 6 house plants in my office.
 
1) Dentist appointment this morning - passed with flying colors!
2) Commission meeting tonight, and I have 2 items. One is for a school, so I'm expecting questions.
3) Office gearing up for our move in a couple of weeks. Not fun.
4) New cube is overall bigger, but layout/options more limited.
5) On the home front - can't find our Christmas tree. I have the totes with all the ornaments, etc but not the tree :-{
 
1. Sweet taste of bbq still in my mouth from lunch - yummy!
2. Mom comes to town Thursday - busy week at the house getting ready
3. My evening last night consisted of 4 loads of laundry washed, dried and folded
4. It's 71 degrees outside right now, feels like I'm back in the Sunshine State
5. I've been informed that you can say "That's what she said" as a reply to anything (well almost anything)
 
1. I had a rare dinner meeting tonight.
2. I really enjoy conversations with my oldest son.
3. I never could wear, or walk in, high heels.
4. Kids visiting their dad + warm weather forecast on Christmas day = bike ride.
5. My daughter's boyfriend insists there's a White Castle in my town.
 
1. Working 2 days this week
2. Christmas was very good, but seems to be a blur right now
3. Played in the coaches soccer game on Sunday, my legs still feel it
4. Looking forward to our friend's annual new years party
5. I need to help hinky out tomorrow since I won't be here for the 12/31 Pad-A-Thon

2) It is sunny and 75 today. My sister and brother in-law left the UP after a snowstorm this morning and are now in shorts.
3) Miniskis gets to open up a boogie board for Christmas tonight. His auntie spoils him.
4) Middle-skis is getting $50 Daniel Tiger Pajamas. :-c :not: They better not get use to this....
5) I have a seminar to go to in January. I could either meet up with all my friends in Toledo or drive down to Tampa for the info. HMMM Ohio or Florida in January... HMMM
 
1) Last day in this cube, in this building. Moving day tomorrow!!
2) New place will be quieter, but new cube location isn't ideal.
3) Have Star Wars tickets for New Years Eve!!!!!!
4) Debating whether to attend the new Sherlock movie in the theater next week, or just watch it on TV.
5) Short week and jeans in the office the next two days!

1. I have not set foot in an airplane for over a year.
2. A guy reported a code violation at 9 a.m. and wants to know at 11 a.m. what we've done about it:-|
3. Pancakes with maple syrup sounds okay right now.
4. But leftover Chicago style pizza also sounds good (and it's in the fridge)

1) New cube is shaping up nicely, but the new building needs more efficient/better heating.
2) Need more stuff to hang on the cube walls/corkboard.
3) Have kept my resolution to not eat fried food, but need to get cracking on the walk more portion of the list.
4) Don't like the ladies room in this building - small stalls, short toilets, and a strange noise in the wall adjacent to the old locker room.
5) Late meeting tonight, so I came in late.

Floggings at noon?


1) The sun is misleading today. But it is above freezing again. I can deal with this weather when the sun is out.
2) I am looking forward to going to the gym tonight.
3) My office is starting to feel more comfortable. I am hanging up personal stuff, I might bring in an antique coffee table that I have and put a plant on it, and make it feel more like a place that I want to spend a ridiculous number of hours. Oh, and I need something nice to place music on. Maybe a bluetooth speaker that looks like an old radio.
4) My fitbit is giving me skin issues. Not really happy about it.
5) We are having Chili for dinner tonight!

5. I have some personal touches in my office including 17 bobbleheads (13 of which are baseball players)
 
1. PEZ candy is better than PEZ dispensers.
2. I found out why people don't like taking vacations - too many fires to put out this week.
3. Today's sunshine didn't warm the inside of my car.
4. The only personal touch in my office is a caricature of my coworker and me that was sketched at an event we attended.
5. I meant to stop at the store after work. I'm home and it's too cold to go anywhere else.
 
1. Shoveling the driveway on a cold winter morning certainly gets your blood going
2. Junior enjoyed his scouts first aid demonstration last night. He got tied up to the backboard
3. Had some deeply disturbing dreams last night. Violent. Worrisome.
4. Watching films being made is quite dull I hear
5. I would like some dirty rice for dinner. Too bad I'm the only one in the house who likes it.:-{
 
1) Really wanted to get some shopping done yesterday, but didn't feel up to it after the dr's appointment.
2) Office celebration of monthly birthdays = tasty food in the office. I didn't eat anything fried (including the chips!) but I did have a donut :(
3) Picked up a sniffle over the weekend, and it's a pain!
4) Really want to sleep in, take a nap, and go to bed early every day.
5) Why does good:b: beer :b:have so many calories??
 
1) It was cool out again this morning. There was ice on a few puddles.
2) I am exhausted today. I did stay up until 10:00 watching a documentary on the anglo-dutch war from the 1600's.
3) I ordered a book from Amazon this morning. it is the first time I have ordered a book since I got Amazon Prime. I did however watch all of the Man in the High Castle
4) Sometimes google doodles can be very informative. Today's is a great example of that.
5) My apartment is so cluttered and it is driving me bonkers. I would love to just take a day off and go organization crazy.
 
1. The weather report, not the weather, caused a good many of my coworkers to work form home or to decide that they're sick enough to call off.
2. Apparently, there was a meeting here last night that included some expensive cheese and good bread, and nothing is left over.
3. One of my coworkers has a part-time job at a fancy grocery store in the fancy cheese department.
4. Long weekend ahead.
5. L o n g week underway.
 
1. I walk the dog every evening when I get home - he's more into sniffing than walking
2. I made chili this weekend and saved half of the batch to eat later this week
3. I found out our PW Dir loves good craft beer but didn't know where to find it locally - I have directed him to the good beer store in the city next door - he is happy
4. I have to reschedule my dentist appt thanks to our annual workshop
5. Next week The Girl goes to school 2 days - Monday off MLK Day - Thurs & Fri off teacher work days
 
1. A rather attractive chick maybe 12 years my junior came on to me kinda strong at the gym last night. Why would she do that? I have mixed feelings about the incident
2. Sidewalk enforcement this a.m. Brrrr
3. I need to order more business cards. I wish they'd stop passing 'em out at the front counter
4. Need a new muffler. Grrr
5. My gay neighbors are pretty cool. Best neighbors we have actually.
 
1. I cooked dinner last evening. Followed the recipe. It was 'meh'
2. The Girl had a friend over for part of yesterday. We were going hiking, but the high was 31 and she thought it was too cold
3. It was 13 this morning as I drove to work
4. I am convinced we have no decent civil engineers in this area
5. Sounds like maister still has "it"
 
1. Made King Cake on Sunday.
2. Been at work 1.5 hours and I am ready to leave.
3. Brrrrr. Wearing a wool sweater and a scarf and drinking tea.
4. Some guy talked to me at the gym yesterday. First time that has ever happened.
5. Irrationally frustrated that 4 times at the gym hasn't resulted in a 20lb weight loss.
 
1) Staff meeting canceled so no one brought breakfast.
2) Long meeting tonight, so I came in a bit late.
3) Got my car recall taken care of yesterday, but spent most of the day carless. Got a lot of domestic chores take care of!
4) Don't want to be here right now. Feeling like I should have taken a nap yesterday rather than the walk through the neighborhood.
5) Any good movies out now? I could use the distraction. I've already seen Star Wars.
 
1) I gave into temptation and got a 2 pack of twinkes.
2) They weren't as good as I remember
3) Don't know if my tastebuds have changes or if the twinkes have changed
4) I've chatted up a couple of women at the gym.
5) Most of the time either they are married or young enough to be my daughter.:-c
 
1. Watched The Martian this weekend. (Good movie out, hint, hint). We liked it.
2. I also watched a documentary on Showtime about Dennis Rodman's trip to North Korea. Very interesting.
3. I have started to try and get more organized. It isn't working so far.
4. I have so many things I want to get done. I just need to get them done.
5. How many Memo's can one person write?
 
1) My son's pinewood derby car is done. If it was any more modified, it would not be legal.
2) The gas prices in Houghton Lake Michigan are just getting crazy. I wish they were that low here.
3) Is it wrong to have a redbull before a City Council meeting?
4) New internet rules go into effect soon. It is going to greatly inhibit my posting schedule.
5) My stress level has been quite high recently.
 
1. I don't see where Junior is going to get an opportunity to build his Pinewood Derby car this year. Too many other responsibilities and obligations
2. I like how Brits say 'mobile phones' instead of cell phones.
3. I'm not altogether sure what sort of porridge the three bears were eating, but I'm inclined to think it was Malt-o-Meal or Maypo
4. Not doing so well with the New Years resolutions
5. Time to start planning this year's garden
 
1. There's a bridge demo this morning. They wouldn't allow us to watch on-site, so we'll be using the big screen in the conference room.
2. I like porridge-y food.
3. I bought tickets to see an Elvis impersonator.
4. The snow is melting.
5. The snow weight calculator made me feel like Hercules.
 
1) Balmy 70 degrees yesterday, but today is 25 degrees colder and windy.
2) I think something came in on the wind, because I am sneezing, sniffling, running nose, etc like crazy.
3) Found out my MIL is coming to visit next month.
4) Our office is doing an open house next week to show off our new digs. I'll be staying late because of it.
5) This weekend should be nice, and I better get out and enjoy it!

2. Hubby and I tend to pronounce schedule the British way (shed-yool). Then when I'm talking Amurrican I sometimes ferget and out it spills.
3. Turkey burgers for dinner.
4. Off chocolate until Easter (1 wild card for Valentine's day; 1 wild card for a special milkshake during an upcoming road trip).
5. My fitbit fuels my competitive personality.
 
1) Finally back in my office today and it has been crazy busy.
2) I learned more about credit ratings than I ever wanted thanks to an error on my credit report.
3) Some people should not be permitted to work with the public. One person I have to deal with on occasion is so offensive that I think my 2 year old has better self control and manners.
4) I have been trying to figure out how to get a grease stain out of a dress shirt. It is from a skin cream that my oldest needs to use. He have me a hug and it was all over his arms and face.
5) Yesterday, I ordered this awesome shirt:

1) Yesterday started with an on-site meeting in the snow on a construction site with an incompetent engineer
2) This week I have 4 night meetings & next week I have 3 night meetings
3) Received a "we can't allow this because it's out of the box and we have no policy on it" letter from NCDOT
4) I need to reschedule my dentist appointment
5) Yesterday I ordered a sweatshirt from my alma mater for The Girl's b-day.
 
1. I had tea for lunch. That isn't very satisfying.
2. Night meeting. Yea!
3. Excel. What a positive software name.
4. Classical music is nice. It doesn't make me more productive though.
5. Beef. It's what's for dinner.
 
1. I'm trying to avoid the political news but it keeps following me around no matter where I go.
2. big results start with small consistent efforts
3. We should just eliminate our historic district. It was done wrong to begin with but a new state statute will likely render it meaningless in short order.
4. I would like to grow apple trees but don't think I could grow decent apples without spraying
5. I've been more successful battling depression than usual this winter
 
1. I like to drink tea at work but can't find the time to do so at home.
2. Feeling emotional today.
3. I resisted eating donuts yesterday.
4. Hubby hurt my feelings last night and I'm trying not to hold it against him today.

2. I want chili for dinner, but I am making it for the chili cook off on Sunday.

3) Hubby can't do blood, so bandage change is my duty.

Well, that didn't last long. Too bad, Emma (or the mods having fun) it's always entertain when the various Emma incarnations pop up.
 
1. "Fat Tuesday" is a funny sounding day
2. I wish we could have another dog but just not have to pick up all the poo and pay vet bills and have the wife not be allergic
3. I kinda miss some old DOS games. Games like Red Storm Rising
4. Payday candy bars are tasty. I like peanuts
5. The skies are gray. Again.
 
1) Feeling pretty good today, just tired.
2) Couple of new projects look interesting, but I wish they hadn't come in at the same time.
3) In the 30's this morning, with a high of 70 for this afternoon. Hard to dress for 40 degree difference.
4) MIL is coming in a couple of weeks.
5) After the last couple of weeks, I want a vacation.
