Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Tuesday

1) Last day in the office this week. Conference starts tomorrow.
2) Wife should find out if she is being offered a job today. We are excited however today I learn that the HS there is not that awesome right now. So we will have to see where that goes. However, there is the projection of growth and gentrification in that area. So by the time Miniskis gets into HS, maybe things will be different.
3) I decided having a shaved face is not for me. I stopped shaving on Saturday and already have a decent base established.
4) I am driving to Chattanooga TN this weekend. I am looking forward to driving through the mountains with all the color. It should be awesome.
5) I did not see the trailer for Star Wars yet. I might google it today, it looks interesting, and I am excited that they brought it back, but I am not going to get wrapped up into the hype. Now if you will excuse me, I need to figure out what color my light saber will be.

1) Actually cool out this morning, but will be in the 80's this afternoon. Fall is coming!
2) Really tired this morning. Don't know why - went to bed normal time and thought I slept well.
3) Hubby and his mom got into it this weekend. He's still not in a good mood.
4) Tried a Pumpkin Barrel Ale this weekend and thought it was yummy. Now I need to find it again.
5) Bored at work right now, but there's a ton of work coming. End of year always means rush, rush, rush - at least to the applicants.

1. Playing with appeasement possibilities for the local community college who want a (much) bigger sign than permitted
2. Taking a mental health day tomorrow, but there's a council meeting tonight beforehand
3. My meeting with DOT went well yesterday concerning a demonstration project we want to do - they might be talked into making it a joint project
4. Now I need new tires and alignment for the car
5. My deck repair project went okay for minimal $ - what I was afraid to find, I did not find. WHEW!

1. I wish I had an extra $50k sitting around.
2. I am picky. I know it, but I hate to admit it.
3. I don't know if I will ever be content.
4. Maybe if food made you skinny.
5. It is amazing how much better I feel about the world when I am running.

1. I like urban Lancaster, PA, better than Amish Lancaster.
2. I drove 3/4 across PA, and most of the leaves are still green
3. The drive to and from was therapeutic. Or, as Barney Fife says, "Therapetic."
4. I don't care for the programming on commercial cooking TV channels.
5. Time to go to Mayberry for an hour. :)

1. The weekend was so busy we weren't able to carve our pumpkins...but that was accomplished last night and they turned out great.
2. Raining today so soccer practice has already been cancelled
3. I hope the meeting this afternoon goes well.
4. I need a more recent picture of The Girl on my desk. The latest one I have is 2 years old. Does that make me a bad daddy?
5. Dear Finance; How can I have paperwork on a verbal agreement?

1) I have crazy heartburn right now and it has been acting up for the past few days. My guess it is because of these meds which end tomorrow.
2) It is a cold rainy day and all I want to do is take a nap, or build office desk out of mahogany. Something about these kinds of days make me want to do more wood working.
3) The wife and I made a list of six "laws" of being a member of our family so the kids have something to follow. We thought it would be a great idea to print them out and frame these to help the kids grow to be good men. Maybe we will get these painted onto a board or something when we get a new house.
4) I am starting to get into the Christmas mood. Last night I bought a 50 count string of Christmas lights to hang up in the room that our youngest share to use as a night light that they can't unplug.
5) I am debating if I want to buy the new apple TV box or just keep the Generation 3 that I have right now. Sounds like the new one is going to have a ton of new stuff available in terms of private apps that the old one will not have access to.

1) What's the deal with lazy applicants lately? They turn in crap applications, then get fussy when we declare them incomplete.
2) Anyone else get cold in the office/cube? I'm wearing my hoodie over my clothes and I'm still cold. Usually putting on the hoodie is enough to keep me warm.
3) Hubby will be away on a boy's weekend next month. I'm debating whether to also leave the house or perhaps do some site seeing. The weather will play a big part in the decision.
4) I really want a beer or three . . .
5) Tuesday is a strange day. Not as bad as Monday - usually - but I just can't seem to get a grip on it.

1. I can tolerate rain and I can tolerate cold. I am not a big fan of cold and rainy.
2. It's not really cold. It's 50 degrees.
3. I am three days away from a week long fishing trip in the mountains.
4. It's warmer there than it is here, which is slightly unusual.
5. The 10 day forecast calls for rain both here and there next week. So it will be wet weather whether I stay or go; but the fish are wet regardless.

1. My body should be better at fighting sickness by now.
2. People don't send enough post cards anymore.
3. I actually drank my recommended amount of water today.
4. If I die of cancer, and it is caused by Filet Mignon, I am okay.
5. Yep. Uh-huh. Sure thing. A-Okay.

1. The clouds this afternoon weren't the kinds of clouds I usually see in the sky around here.
2. A coworker gave me a gift that's a little block of Gruyere cheese - my favorite.
3. Last night, I came across some letters that some uncles and a great aunt wrote to me.
4. I also found a $100 bill that my uncle gave to my daughter for high school graduation.
5. Electricity, as much a I like it, scares me.

1) It figures - I kill myself while managing to lose 11 lbs and they end up cancelling the employee health eval. this year
2) I'm convinced there is a difference in taste between pop sweetened with cane sugar vs. HFCS
3) There's an additional body in the office to help out now and yet I feel like I'm busier than I've ever been
4) Mrs. Maister's favorite music seems to be songs with the theme 'I am woman and I am strong'. Nothing wrong with those kinda songs but it's a little weird when that dominates one's collection
5) I can't believe Christmas is only 7 and a half weeks away

1) Expecting a long P&Z meeting tonight.
2) Extremely foggy last two mornings. Makes my morning commute creepy - keep expecting something to take shape in the fog and come at me.:-c.
3) Need to start thinking about housing. Do we continue to rent for another year, or start looking for something that meets all our needs? Hubby's job is the kicker on this.
4) My sister is coming in a couple of weeks! <:D<:DShe's in the States for only 2 weeks, and we have several plans already for the 4 days she's staying with us.:D
5) They pushed our office move back (no surprise) but now the movers are coming the week between Christmas and New Year's. It's a short week, and notices have to go out that week. We may have to move the move date again to accomodate our jobs!

1) I have been eating two probiotic yogurts per day for the past week and the heartburn and indigestion is long gone. This is a great thing because I have been craving quality hot wings and today I will partake.
2) My wife pointed out that we have an awesome soaking tub in our master bathroom in our apartment. Only downfall is the hot water tank contains less than 1/2 the required water to fill the tub up rendering the tub almost useless.
3) I am not thrilled with the lot that my wife likes for the new house. It would make the front of the house face south resulting in my garden being on the north west corner of the house, given the heat down here, that might not be all that bad. That reminds me, I need to look to see how they measure the height of fences. There is a slope on the back and side property lines and we want to fence in the back yard.
4) Lunch can not come soon enough. I ate breakfast at 5:15 this morning and have been up since 4:15.
5) One of the plants in my office does not look like it is doing to well.

1) Staff meeting this morning - at least we have agendas and the director makes us stick to it.
2) My supervisor and my director disagree on an interpretation. That interpretation was handed down to me a while ago and I used it on a case. So now my staff report is a bone of contention between the higher ups. Lovely.
3) What's that lovely smell outside? I think it's a dead skunk in the parking lot . . .
4) Butt is dragging this morning.
5) I'm feeling a bit at loose ends lately. Some of my favorite things aren't appealing right now, I haven't found a good outlet for my creative streak, and I'm really not feeling the holiday spirit. Maybe I'm still unsettled from the move and new job. Or I'm just not happy. Or just in a rut. I don't know.

2) The roof is leaking in one of the kids' bedrooms in our apartment and the management company is dragging its feet with getting it fixed. I am also worried about mold too being that the drywall ceiling is well soaked. I think we are going to have a camping party in the living room tonight.
3) Some woman was flirting with me at the bar last night while she was waiting for her date and I was having post night meeting wings and beer. I know she saw that I was married, but that didn't slow her down. She mentioned she lived in a higher end neighborhood a 1/2 hour away from the bar that we were at and this bar was not much of a destination type place. I almost have to wonder if she was having an affair, especially being that her date was likely 12 to 15 years younger than she was.
4) My wife is on call all weekend and I am not sure what we should do. It is her last on call at the current place, but I think we may end up going up to that area to check out a few things. We will just need to make sure we take two vehicles.

2) My sister is coming on Thursday!! *happy dance*

2) I had fire extinguisher training this morning at the local fire house. I hate that smell, but I had to actually use one once in my old woodshop after a router started to spark and lit up the sawdust on the floor.
3) I decided that I am going to get back into a good fitness program, but I am struggling to find a program that I can stick with. I need it to be a combination of at home bodyweight and in the gym lifting.
4) Over the weekend, Green Bay lost to Detroit, at Lambeau field. This is the first time this has happened since 1991. The team is falling apart after a great start. I hope McCarthy gets his guys in order otherwise they might not make the playoffs.
