Sorry to hear that. Hope it heals up quick. The boot is a pain but does work. The universe has spoken, but I'm not quite sure what the message is. I'm out of commission for a few weeks while my broken foot heals. No cycling, no kayaking, no field work. I did manage to get permission to go camping in a couple of weeks. My foot is in a boot. That's good. I was worried I'd injure myself further using those.
Wait, what happened? How did you break your foot? The universe has spoken, but I'm not quite sure what the message is. I'm out of commission for a few weeks while my broken foot heals. My foot went over the back of one of my basement steps.Wait, what happened? How did you break your foot?
I can empathize. I broke both feet about 10 years ago.My foot went over the back of one of my basement steps.
The PA said that the bone shifted since the first x-rays and it's borderline for needing surgery. I said no to surgery. I would be off my foot for 6 weeks. I live alone with a flight of stairs between the kitchen and the bathroom. I need to be able to get to both.
I think I remember that it happened to you.I can empathize. I broke both feet about 10 years ago.
Blue Emu has a whole line of products- which one do you use? After recommendations from several people I've been trying Blue Emu for a few weeks now.
I'm in this same boat, I keep rescheduling appointments and this last time moved it to March 2021. I don't want to willingly go to the dentist during Covid for just a cleaning (emergency visits and procedures seem much more valid reasons). I'm hoping my at-home dental care regimen will keep any problems at bay.I am overdue for a dentist appt. I usually go every 6 months like clockwork. But I haven't been since last fall because of COVID. the next appt will not be fun, I can tell.
^^ Serious ouch! Fingers crossed your pill(s) kick in soon!

I'm sorry to hear about your mom. Try to enjoy the holidays and concentrate on the good. (easier said than done, I wholeheartedly know)The ringing in my ears still has not gone completely away. I thought it was gone late yesterday, but it's back - just not as loud. If the steroid shot doesn't kick it, then it's off to the ENT specialist. Yuck.
My mom's biopsy came back positive. Now we have to find out if it's the same cancer, a different type, surgery options, etc. It's going to be a very stressful holiday week.

You should not dwell in fear. You should, however, work to have some sort of support network where a local friend checks in on you at occasional intervals. How scared should I be -
Over 60 yo
Live alone
Diabetic
Aortic Aneurysm
treated for skin cancer
Since I'm a wheeze, I have friends and family that check in on me.You should not dwell in fear. You should, however, work to have some sort of support network where a local friend checks in on you at occasional intervals.
(imho) The friend(s) who check in on him on occasional intervals need not be local. They can telephone** him from pretty much any distance to quickly ask if he's OK.You should not dwell in fear. I don't think he has a phone that can text.(imho) The friend(s) who check in on him on occasional intervals need not be local. They can telephone** him from pretty much any distance to quickly ask if he's OK.
If they don't get him after repeatedly telephoning, that's when they should call his local friend/acquaintance/neighbor to drop by & see if he's OK.
**I would have said "text message", but JNA may not want to always be available by text.
You are correct.I don't think he has a phone that can text.
See, I wasn't being ugly when I posted. You are correct.
I was going to post a picture of a bag phone...See, I wasn't being ugly when I posted.
Oh, I know you weren't being ugly. (I'd sure like to know what you actually look like, other than the Scandinavian part, but that's for another topic.)See, I wasn't being ugly when I posted.
That's what I take as well. I've also cut way, way, way back on Diet Coke. Both seem to help. Also try sleeping with your head/upper back elevated. I use pillows. That was me until I discovered Prilosec. It is OTC generic as Omezerapole but get a prescription and save $. Serious recommendation as people have died from such events.
I fell down my stairs the other day and hurt my neck. I am on nabaumetone as an anti-inflammatory and it helps very much. But it shows how I am getting old. I cant roll around and mosh at 30 like I did at 20, makes me feel made of glass lol aging......
