I paid $3.27 last week. It is going down. Let's just say I am happy that I only have to go to the office once a week with my new job.

Cheapest I can get near me in my home county is $3.24/gal at Costco, but my home county is always a bit more than my work county.

I filled up my VW last night for $3.99. First time it's been under $4 in more than a year. Hit a high of $5.89 IIRC. Gas was $2.78. My truck is low, so I'll probably go fill it tonight.

This was at Walmart. Interestingly at the Caseys across the street, gas was same price, but diesel was $4.55. Prices in my town are always lower than the towns south of me because we are about 1 mile from the WI border and WI is MUCH cheaper due to lower gas taxes. Like anywhere from $0.50 to $1.00 cheaper.

I LOVE Wisconsin. I just wish its citizens would learn to f*cking drive. Seriously, do they not teach the purpose of the left lane in driver's ed up there?
 
Been holding steady now at $2.79 for a week. Some others are still 25 to 50 cents higher. I suspect the low site does this to bring in customers to the store (WM) while taking a hit on fuel profit.
 
$3.45 in my area. Funny thing, the prices seem cheaper in poor parts of town down to just under $3 and more in the richy parts of time closer to $4.
 
We seemed to slip under $3.00/gal shortly after New Year's Day for, oh, maybe a few hours. Then we bounced around between $3.059 and $3.199. I gave $3.149 when I filled up Saturday, but then noticed Monday morning that the price had jumped to $3.499 at two stations near my home. Looking around, we are pretty well pegged at all the local marts at $3.499. I haven't seen anything in the news that would warrant prices jumping more than 10% practically overnight.

$4.50-ish for 93 octane in my area at the moment (one of our cars requires it). Thankfully, I have a super short commute these days, plus WFH 1-2x a week.
 
I noticed the convenience store in my neighborhood, where the gas price is never really competitive with the QT down the road, is under $3/gallon.
 
I paid 3.71 yesterday. It's almost 20 cents cheaper than other stations. I find that new owners are offering deep discounts.
 
My last fill ups were $3.879/gal in my VW (diesel) and $3.299/gal in my truck (87 octane). Both were in the last week or so in Northern IL near the WI border.
 
So I paid $2.85/gal when I last filled up a little over a week ago. Since then the price jumped up to $3.25. Not sure why, but seldom are the reasons for such price increases ever evident to consumers.

Is diesel cheaper in Illinois? Find it odd why there are so many large gas stations just south of the state line when Wisconsin gas is cheaper.

No. Diesel and gas are both generally cheaper in WI. I usually fill up at Woodmans in Beloit, however the Walmart in Rockton (usually more convenient while I am out and about) is not usually a whole lot more and is way more convenient.

Added bonus of Woodmans is that they have ethanol free premium, which is what I run in all my tractors and small engines.
 
Driving by the gas station this morning, maybe I was not seeing something correctly, but it looked like the price of gas jumped a whole dollar a gallon from the day before. Can that be right? Anyone?

Any big news event I missed?
 
^^Not here, we have been pegged at about $3.279 for a couple weeks now, up about $0.10/gal from previous.

Summer formulation will go online soon, so we'll probably jump another $0.25 to 0.35/gal soon.

Damn thieves.
