NEVERENDING ♾️ The NEVERENDING Gas Price Thread

I paid $3.149/gallon today. Cheapest I've paid since November 28, 2011 when I paid $3.129/gallon.

FWIW, I saw it for $3.019 this weekend but didn't need any.

$3.13 for regular at the Lukoil.

We never got below $3.02. I don't think we will see under $3 ever again.

$3.32 yesterday at the normal stop

I was going to lunch yesterday and saw a gas station sign that said $8.81 - disclosure: this is a new station that hasn't opened yet and they just put up the sign.

At lunch today I saw a station selling it for $2.93. I really wanted to stop and fill up but I don't think I've even used a half gallon since yesterday.

I wonder how much of it has to do with the "deal" with Iran.

On my way to work this morning, my Jeep told me to check my gas cap. When I got to work, sure enough it was loose. I would say someone tried to siphon gas out, but my gas level was the same as last night and my Jeep was in the driveway. Since I only had about a quarter of a tank, would it have been possible to siphon gas, or is it a lot easier when there's more gas? It is completely out of the ordinary for a gas cap to randomly come unscrewed a little?

I paid $3.04 this morning. The news wall all over the idea that it was under $3.00 in places... by lunch it was back up to $3.25. :-@

In Toledo it had been dropping steadily over the past three weeks. I saw it as low as $2.79. But on Thursday, the prices shot up to $3.29 at most stations. I managed to find one was $2.99 (or $2.89 cash) and thought I'd better get gas right there and then. I'm glad I did, for that same station raised their prices to $3.29 within a half-hour.

I did still see one station for $2.85 yesterday evening though.

I paid $2.599 today. That's the lowest I've paid since the same price back on February 17, 2010.

FWIW, this was at a Kroger and the regular price was $2.999 but my rewards card brought it down $0.40/gallon. I've never gotten gas at Kroger before, I may have to do this more often (though it looks like the rewards card doesn't usually bring it down that much but because I never use it, I had built up a lot of points).

I paid $1.99 the other week. Mainly because I wanted to see a $1.99 sign and I knew that at $2.99 I could get there. I spend A LOT of money at Kroger.....8-! I do love it there though. If we only had a Publix...

WOW! $1.99... how many points did you have stocked up? (I don't think we have that here... :-{)

I use a rewards card, and my mom lets me use her discount.

I paid $3.09 in Virginia last week. At home, along a stretch of road that I usually drive, the prices range from $3.29-$3.45.

Indiana
on 2/4 it was 3.299

Kentucky
on 2/9 it was 3.229
on 1/26 it was 3.049

It was $3.28 at the normal location, but I saw $3.17 in the town to the south as I was driving by the sign.

I just returned from a long road trip. Gas was as low as $3.27 in Iowa, and $4,07 in the mountain towns of Colorado.

Filled up one car on Friday for $3.30 and the other car the next day at the same station for $3.28.

I've seen others around here up to $3.43.

We have broke the 3 gallons for ten bucks mark too. The station closest to my house though it is $3.46, that is one of the things I hate most about living with the rich folk, everything costs a bit more.

That's cheap! You must still be in the hood!

The two stations closest two my house were $3.79 and $3.89 this morning. :r:

LOL. Houses in my hood are nearly as expensive as houses in yours. I am living in the Bloomingham Hills of Wayne County! Concours D'Elegance was literally a 1/2 mile from my home this weekend. We're no slouches when it comes to being stuffy. Maybe it is because we have more bikepaths so cars have competition!

FWIW, I can never figure out why these two stations are soooo much more expensive than anywhere else in the area. They do offer full-service but I rarely see anybody actually using that. I think they might be trying to dupe gullible drivers who are headed into Birmingham who think that gas is going to be even more expensive in town (it's not) - sort of like how the gas stations right next to airports are always way more expensive than the rest of the area thinking they will trick travelers who are unfamiliar with the local market.

Paid $3.259 on my way to OKI conference. It was $3.499 in the 'ville, natch

Should be dropping everywhere quickly.

Gas futures are down
Oil futures way down
Corn futures down (most gasoline is 10 percent)
Dollar is up.

I saw it for $2.82 in Lowell Michigan in Saturday. Someone from Gasbuddy.com said that it might tick up, but we can expect to see it as low as $2.50 or maybe even $2.30 this winter because the cost of oil is going down.

I wonder if midterm elections have anything to do with it.

Never mind... Looks like some places are already there.
