Food / drink 🍗 The 'help me figure out what to have for dinner tonight' thread

Pork and waffles? If chicken and waffles go together then pork and waffles isn't too far a stretch? I figure since its already maple flavored anyways...

Real quick, guys. I need suggestions ASAP
This ready made lobster mac&cheese is a good quick and easy grab...though the drive to the nearest Mariano's might not work for you.

Sincere:

A good quick prep/execute at home for me is [whatever decent leftover meat in the fridge) quesadilla.

I rough shred the meat and pan sauté/sear it in an eyeball-measured Mexican style curry (salt/pepper/onion powder/garlic powder/chili powder/cumin/coriander powder) and veg oil.

Then throw the seasoned meat into a couple large tortillas with shredded Monterey jack cheese. Heat to cheese melt and light browning in the/another pan.

Serve with sour cream, salsa(s) and hot sauce sides for each diner to add per their taste.

Total ~20 mins.

Grill cheese and canned soup

Breakfast for dinner

A veggie and cheese egg bake

Fridge leftovers stir fry

We had shrimp and grits. Easy and delicious!

Pasta with steamed broccoli and pesto is another go to for us.

Stir-fry tofu is good too.

Ended up with spaghetti. It was what the family could (grudgingly) agree to.

We will be grilling chicken breast and hamburgers as it's not that cold outside today and gas grills are soooo convenient for grilling during pretty much any temperature.

Then on to high school orientation for the 8th grader. gulp.

Hmm, looks like fish, crusted fish, or ham steaks tonight.

Pasta as a side, along with salad.

What's your preference?

Brisket tacos! My wife made chopped beef for her class as a holiday thing. After her students ate there was still a lot left over. We've had sandwiches for a couple days but today I changed it up and we made tacos from the meat. It was really good.

I got a pretty nice gas grill from my kids a couple years ago. I've enjoyed it but I noticed some of the burners had "extra holes" where the gas was escaping and causing uneven heating. Also the igniters stopped working. I just bought a kit online for $30 and replaced the burners and the igniters and it works like new again.

Today's mission. I already laid out ground beef for meatloaf but it appears I will have to be the one to make it. Any good recipes for meat loaf?

oh okay

no one in my family likes my meatloaf so I can't help you here or there lol

... I feel like we are having this conversation outside on a stoop while the party is going on inside

got a light?
You know that Doohickie? He's nothing but a tease. Tells me about some great new smoke beer made by Shiner and then the next second tells me they don't make it anymore. [sniff]

At lunchtime I took out 1.5 lbs of ground beef to use for dinner without having any clear idea what use I would put it to. It appears it will just be the two of us for dinner tonight. What should I make with the ground beef?
