In the new year, I will:

Keep Mondays meatless
Eat more veggies
Use a new recipe at least once a month
Be more active/take more steps per day
Drink more wine (drink less beer)
Read more library books

More may be added later . . .

Do you have the Libby app from your library? My daughter works for the library and got me the libby app connected to my phone. I didn't think I'd like reading on my phone but I read a TON more now. I always have one "paper" book I'm reading and one on my libby app on my phone. Free, and good selection. You gotta wait for copies sometimes, but no big. Try it, if you haven't already!

Also, I'm sure I told you forever ago, but I admire that your handle is from the Belgariad. :)

I LOVE my Libby app. I tell everyone about it too. I read most of my books through it. I also like that you can do audiobooks. I am listening to one from there at the moment.

Need to remember to stop by the pharmacy on the way home. Glad they have a drive-through, even if it's slow.

I was shooting for hitting 18k today. Not sure if it will happen. I have 56 minutes left.

Digging through a box here in my office and found an old report card of mine from ninth grade.

Math wasn’t (and still isn’t) my strongest subject.
I'll top it...I have my report card from Kindergarten still. :)

I can report I've improved over the years on knowing direction in space. ;)

We have a sock mill in this town (& some of you have received some) with an outlet store. Great place for socks, except...they do not make dress socks

We had a sock mill in town that did make dress socks. Their outlet store was great. Unfortunately that mill closed a few years back.

I've always felt like someone is watching me. I'm hard to miss, actually. :)

My hands are cold. Not to be outdone, by toes are also cold.

Oh yeah: A+ in advanced English, as a freshman, and they still wouldn't let me take the Writing Proficiency Exam I needed to graduate. (Couldn't take it until 11th grade normally.) Dad went to the School Board President, who told the Principal to let me take it. Principal refused, saying freshmen couldn't take it because they would fail and they'd be turned off from writing.

Eventually, Principal gave in, let me take it, and I passed . . . with the highest score they had ever seen. Then Principal wanted to know how I cheated to get such a score. Dad found the allegation insulting, and my junior high writing teacher vouched that it was my writing. Then Principal tried to say that this was a practice run and I'd have to take it again as a junior.

Again, Dad balked, and Principal eventually said she would make a special exception and let this score count. Never heard another word about it.
