We are having grilled shrimp. Salt, pepper, olive oil, and a little lemon.

Not as many "nooks and crannies" as what you get from a commercial muffin...but tasty none the less.

That's the part we've not been able to achieve yet. They taste and look just like a classic English muffin, but the texture more resembles the grocery store brand than classic Bay's English Muffins (which set the standard in my book)

My oven door is broken. I planned to use it today. I just put short ribs and Asian seasonings into the crock pot. I prefer cooking meat in the oven to get caramelization, but I also prefer not to waste food so the crockpot is my best option today.

Just had a convo with my newly aged 18 y.o. yesterday (and his b-day) about battleships and how they are outdated. The sea is now ruled from the air and what is underneath the waves. No need to hurl an 18.1" shell 25 miles (Japanese was the largest) any any target with the air and missile/rocket technology we have. The British had an 18" in WWI, the Germans had a 21" in development in the late 1930s but never deployed. Largest US deployed was 16" but had an 18" under consideration.
