We started watching A Spy Among Friends on Amazon and it's really good

Been watching Friends for some reason while I am getting ready for work - did guys in the 90's really obsess about people not thinking or thinking they are gay - I don't remember that

Nor sure that's unique to any particular decade. And I don't know about "obsess" either. Like I don't think I knew any guy that obsessed about that. Except one. And he was gay.

Finished off S2 of Fubar (Netflix) last night - the occasional deadpan jabs at Ah-nold's movie career are hilarious.

I stumbled on The Increasingly Poor Decisions of Todd Margaret.

It is a train wreck that keeps falling off the trestle.

Getting ready to watch that new Alien Earth thing on Hulu tonight. (I recently rewatched Alien Romulus, which I hated in the theater, but at home, knowing exactly who and what the characters are, and with the fixed CG flashback retcon, wow, hot damn, it really is an effing awesome movie! So yeah, I am more than just a little pumped to see if this new facehugger extravaganza has the juice!!)

oh yeah report in on that

oh yeah report in on that

The two episode premiere last night WAS EFFING AWESOME! If you like Alien movies, this one has it all and MORE! Wow wow wow! Can't wait till next week! (Side Bar: Many did not like Prometheus and Covenant, but, hands down, you have to admit Fassbender took David to someplace beyond with his performance. As they say in MemeLand, "Perfection!" So, in this new Alien show, there was another android that was cast with another amazing fan-favorite actor. I should have known he was in it, but I avoided spoilers, and wow, I was so surprised when I finally figured out it was him!!)

In this economy!?

Rogue Heroes (MGM+) - aside from the Eve Mansour character (fictional creative license, or something), it's pretty faithful to the source material on the origins of the SAS.
Agreed. I watched Season 1 about a year ago and it was pretty fun. Dragged a little bit in the middle and episodes were a little long on average, but that's a small quibble.

Related - you now need to watch the movie The Ministry Of Ungentlemanly Warfare.

I have teenage sons, so I'm pretty sure I don't want/need to watch Adolescence.

But congrats to the young actor's Emmy win!

Watched S1 of The Night Agent on Netflix. Probably won't go back for S2 and will look for something else.

It's my favorite time of year: Only Murders in the Building Season 5 has started, which means that my Goldie will come home on Tuesday nights (if she's not working and I'm not at Council meeting) to watch with me. I've tried watching it alone. Not the same. It's a social watch if done correctly.
We have been re-watching Poirot and also Kojak
First of all, Kojak? Hellyeah! That's a solid idea. So the next up pairing, I assume, is Jeremy Brett's years of Sherlock Holmes and....Beretta? That feels right. :)

Started watching Task with Mark Ruffalo on HBO Max. Not bad so far. 2 episodes in. About a group of guys who knock over biker drug houses until it goes wrong. Ruffalo plays an FBI agent/former priest whose own son killed his wife during a mental health breakdown.

Caught a few episodes of Star Wars Visions Volume 3 this morning, of course I had to watch the continuation of the Ninth Jedi, which was pretty good, had Empire Strikes Back vibes even for a 20 minute animated short.

Watched the first few episodes of Season 3 of Dark Winds. Very much on par with the previous seasons. Also, a cameo featuring the show's producer, Robert Redford. I think it might have been his very last appearance on screen.

We watched Who Killed the Montreal Expos on Netflix (broke it into 2 sessions). Very informative, had interesting people and comments, recommend it if you like baseball history.

House of Dynamite was interesting, and I think it would have been better to watch in one sitting, rather than splitting it up.

I tend to look for multi-season series shows, mostly on Prime because it's the streaming service I have, along with Netflix. Mostly because my TV time is my stationary bike time- with a goal of an hour/day six days a week, I go through a lot.

So, with another long Indoor biking season upon us, what should I get into?

Stuff I watched and liked, for the most part (stars for the ones I liked best, notes for ones I didn't finish):

Wheel of Time (kind of don't feel like finishing it knowing it's been cancelled)
Carnival Row (same as above)
Marvelous Mrs. Maisel*
Rings of Power
Electric Sheep
Tales from the Loop
Solos
Goliath*
Jack Ryan
Hunters*
Mr. Robot*
The Expanse*
Bosch
Hanna
Invincible
The Man in the High Castle*

I watched a couple of episodes of House of Guinness.

It is moderately entertaining, although while it is popular here, those in Ireland hate it for how it portrays that period of Ireland and how far off of reality it really is. I heard one person comment that it is as historically accurate as the Di Vinci Code.

Season 2 of Wednesday was just as good as the first season. A fun watch.

"Criminal Code" on Netflix (Brazilian - originally "DNA do Crime"). I had Mrs. Bubba ask one of her team members who lives in Rio if those sort of pitched battles in the streets between police and criminals with military grade weapons actually happen - the response was "yeah, just not in my area".
