Yep.

I love the fleetness of storytelling embodied by the next camera shot after this frame.

I never noticed it before but Indy basically shoots into a crowd of people. If his shot strayed just a little in any direction he'd end up shooting an innocent victim. Heck, if the bullet went THROUGH the intended target's body there's a chance the round could have struck someone else.

I know. It's the movies. Let it go.

I JUST watched the first episode of Stranger Things this week. Yeah, that show is aimed squarely at Gen X. I'm sure that comes as a shocking revelation to many.

Maybe, but my 19 year old daughter is absolutely in love with this show. I watched the first three seasons when they aired, and then rewatched them with her before we watched S4 together. It's one my (and hers I think) favorite shows of all time. Can't wait until S5 comes out later this fall.

My wife and I watched the first episode of Dallas a few nights ago. We've been watching Moonlighting because she thought it was series that gave her the desire to have a convertible Mercedes. Have yet to see one prominently in Moonlighting. First scene in Dallas was of Bobby and Pamela driving a convertible Mercedes. This, however, cannot be the show or episode unless that type of car was prominent throughout the run. Dallas was originally planned as a 5 episode mini-series but was well received so extended to a regular show. My wife was only 4 years old in 1978 so highly unlikely she was watching Dallas. Don't know if I have it in me to watch all 357 episodes.

I've gotten into Tulsa King. I like shows where everybody is pretty much a rotten bustard to some degree.

The Sopranos and Yellowstone come to mind as well.

We're watching old sitcoms right now. We did Home Improvement, then Full House, and now Family Matters. My daughter loves them, my wife likes that the premise are fairly simple and there's not too much language or adult humor, and I make it through them. It's odd because these shows don't really have the 1980's style serious content episodes where the actors talk to the audience at the end like Different Strokes or Facts of Life. But there are some things that wouldn't make it air anymore. Most of the episode plots would be solved by cellphones today.

While I work at night I'm still working through Newhart and just started Taxi. Some things hold up and somethings don't.

I (re)watched Newhart a couple years ago and thought it held up quite well. I was thinking about (re)watching Taxi as I haven't seen an episode in like 40 years. How is that holding up?

I never saw more than a few bits and pieces of Taxi until I started watching it. I've enjoyed it. I don't love Kaufman's character, but ok in small doses. Hirsch is great as the straight man. DeVito is one of my favorites, and the rest work great as an ensemble. I usually dislike Danza, but he hasn't bothered me in this role.

Smith & Wesson M1917 chambered in .455 Webley (British) with a relatively slow velocity of 700 FPS or so. BB guns can achieve a higher velocity. Over penetration with a 200+ grain bullet and low velocity? Likely not. Misses is another story. Although a British cartridge, the Crown outfitted troops with the Webley break top revolver in .455, also used by Indiana as shown in a scene where he breaks open the action to reveal an empty cylinder.

That's funny because my oldest loves that show... and I am the Gen Xer. He also pointed out that all the monsters in the show are from the game Dungeons and Dragons.

It also has a ton of ties to Durham North Carolina because the creators or writers grew up there.

The Pitt is great, but plan on some breaks. Several episodes are gnarly.

We tend to watch more documentaries in the summer, since regular TV doesn't have as many options then, plus we don't agree on a lot of regular TV. The Tylenol Murders is a good one! True crime pulls both of us.

I watched both seasons of Lioness. I enjoyed it. It does crack me up how Taylor Sheridan writes himself into his shows and always makes his parts the cool guy.

A Cyburbian way to honor Canada Day is to watch Strange Brew (1983)-

In their quest for free beer, bumbling Canadian brothers Bob (Rick Moranis) and Doug McKenzie (Dave Thomas) wind up working at the Elsinore Brewery. The hapless lads uncover a sinister mind-control plot spearheaded by Brewmeister Smith (Max von Sydow) and must stop the scheme, which also involves Uncle Claude (Paul Dooley), a member of the Elsinore family. As Bob and Doug try to prevent Smith from taking over the world, they also manage to drink plenty of their favorite sudsy beverage.

Well, it happened, I got through 3 episodes of a show and realized I had already watched the series - lol - it was Deadwater Fell and yeah I am rewatching it anyway

Watching Tedd Lasso again. Picking up several things I missed the first time. Keeley to Rebecca when she shows Keeley how to appear larger, "F&%k, your amazing. Lets invade France."

So many cultural references.

Watched The Waterfront over the long weekend. Only 8 episodes. I enjoyed it but I like almost anything with boats and coastal towns. Which is why I'm hoping a second season of Bad Monkey comes out soon. That was awesome!

While flipping through Britbox, I encountered what is quite possibly the WORST tv show theme song I've ever heard. Madame Blanc Mysteries. The show itself is only slightly better than the intro.

I just finished Ballard on Amazon Prime. I highly recommend. The finale sets up a second season nicely.

Also finished Suspects - British cop show. Also highly recommend.

Hubby and I are watching Amy Bradley Is Missing on Netflix.

Binged Untamed Season 1. There's only 6 episodes. Good mystery that takes place largely in the great outdoors. Highly recommend this one. Looks like they got a green light for a season 2.
