We are just finishing Shrinking. 2 seasons on Apple TV. Jason Segal as a therapist dealing with the loss of his wife. Great cast including Harrison Ford and Jefferson D'Arcy from Married with Children! We've really enjoyed the show. They just started filming a 3rd season.

We've been watching new Righteous Gemstones as they come out.

Watched new season of White Lotus, we love this show.

Excited for Andor season 2.

Somehow we hadn't gotten around to watching the 4th season of The Crown until now. Finished season 2 of Rings of Power. We also started (re)watching older shows like West Wing, Mike & Molly, as well. New shows include: Ghosts and the Great Amercian Baking Show

We are watching Lupin - I had seen it but now I am re-watching it with my husband

I am on season 10 of MI5/Spooks - it really has staying power, I can see why it lasted so long

Loved the new season of The White Lotus - great analyses by TikTokers if anyone goes to TikTok

I also kept up with The Yellowjackets and Elsbeth - I hope they do one last season of The Yellowjackets because there are too many holes - Elsbeth is good if you need something light

Moonlighting and Greatest American Hero. The theme song from GAH was the first 45 I purchased when I was 10 in 1981. A very cheesy show but was made for kids. Adults, not so much. As for Moonlighting, watching more so because the Mrs. thinks this is the series that made her fall in love with the Mercedes 380SL convertible. However, I think we have a Mandela effect going on here as we have yet to see the convertible. Her memory, and mine, are that Cybill Shepherd drove around this car, yet, nothing. Perhaps it was Remington Steele. I'm also watching The Rockford Files on my own.

Enjoyed White Lotus season 3 for the most part...expected more carnage given the slow buildup all season.

Andor is next...didn't have the consciousness to try watching after the first 3 episodes were released last night.

We've been working our way through the original "CHiPS," which I watched as a kid . . . I think that is the reason I am super into roads.

We just finished up a sleeper British show called "Hettie Feather," about a bunch of abandoned kids in Britain, set in the early part of the 20th century. Wifey stumbled upon it one day, and I got roped into it as well--took a whole fortnight of our TV time to see every episode (though I may have missed one or two.)

I wonder if there is a term for someone sneaking in to watch an episode of a show that he/she had agreed to watch with a partner. "Netflix Cheating," maybe? I don't know. (I neither admit nor deny doing it, but Wifey is open about it, since she gets home before me on a typical day.)

Neither did I after getting home at 10p from a PZB meeting and 15+ hour day.

Several known actors/actresses came up through CHiPs, similar to Love Boat. Bassist of Metallica, Robert Trujillo, was in an episode as a kid. Donny Most from Happy Days played a Gene Simmons-esque character. Elvira was in the same episode.

Fun fact: Years ago, I was doing a book signing at a local bookstore. There was a long line of cars waiting to get off the freeway, and then waiting a few light cycles at the ramp. I was wondering how in the world little old me was drawing such a crowd with my first book.

Turns out it was Erik Estrada, speaking/autographing at the motorcycle store half a block from the bookstore I was heading to. Shame on him for planning something the same day as my event. (I had a decent turnout at my own event though.)

The first three episodes are so good!
I watched the first episode last night. I may have not totally processed it as I was once again quite tired by 7p when I sat down to watch.

Perhaps I need to watch it again on Sat morning when I'm more rested.

I watched all 3 episodes last night after midnight. I need to rewatch them, I'm sure I missed some stuff.

This show is already beyond amazing! Nothing better than that economic development and marketing video that Krennic appropriated for his meeting:

“The Ghorman mark of excellence is known everywhere as the standard of luxury and quality. But where does this magic begin? …Ghorlectipods!”

I have no words! What an absolute delight!

Started a great show this weekend - The Residence. The story basically revolves around an almost omniscient female Sherlock Holmesian character, Cordelia Cupp. A murder occurs in the White House during a state dinner and the famous consulting detective has been called in to help the DC Metro Police wrap up the investigation within hours to minimize the scandal. Only Cupp can solve it. The show's got a rather Clue like vibe with light comedic elements. In fact I'm sure the Clue thing is quite intentionally something the director was going for. Some of the shots, for instance, show an overhead plan view of the White House, the hallways, and the various rooms just like the mansion that's the Clue game board. It's not quite like the Australian Ambassador did it in the Blue Room with a candlestick, but not too far from it.

We binge watched the first half of HGTV Hometown Takeover - Season 3. It has me really thinking about the long term implications of their activities. Many communities do a little bit of the same thing with Facade Improvement and Building Upfit grants.

Bronson Pinchot as Didier Gotthard, the White House Executive Pastry Chef. One reason to watch. Also, Uzo was great in Orange is the New Black.

watching the new season of Bosch Legacy - I don't understand the ethics of the daughter, who is a cop, meeting and working with someone who is running for DA but it's California so who knows lol

Plus....this is Varada Sethu's time in beloved tv sci-fi IPs:

Andor and current Doctor Who companion.

Watched the first ~20 mins of Andor Season2, Ep.4

@NHPlanner @estromberg @Wannaplan? @luckless pedestrian

Episode 6 was so good, full of tension and anxiety, I was losing it last night as the episode came to a close!

I have a theory about Luthen's origin, stuff on social media right now is gawking at where some of his artifacts might come from, there's a certain planet of origin, and my baseless speculation places him and a specific top-tier villain growing up together. But it's just dumb guessing on my part.

No spoilers please! We're only one episode in on Andor, and Hubby doesn't binge.

Anyone else watch Zero Day? We liked it, and I recommended it to my Aunt.

We are 3 episodes in on The Pitt. Too intense to binge (and the rats freaked me out!).

no nonsense 'Dad' directives

Huh? What does that even mean in Andor?! When it comes to dad references in Star Wars, I come up with only Vader and Luke, and Mando and Grogu. I mean, if we knew Saw’s dad, maybe he told him to keep away from the rhydo?!

Vel's mission planning speech to the Gorman rebels. She was clear and no nonsense direct with them about chain of command and following the plan.

Sounded like many of the 'talks' I have with my three teenage sons.

And who effs up? The 'teenage' male. Then he gets the post-game dad speech to remind him there were real stakes and that's why strict plan adherence was definitely important.

Vel and Dedra are the same just on different sides.

Andor is killing it.

Just unbelievable, Andor Season 2. Forest Whitaker as Saw Gerrera is unforgettable! Tony Gilroy has redefined Star Wars. Unsure to watch because it’s Star Wars? Watch Michael Clayton with George Clooney, that movie is the unlock you need to understand what Tony Gilroy is doing to Star Wars.

Let it run wild!

Finished The Residence last night. Just love the Cordelia Cupp character. I hope Netflix picks it up for another season. Knowing Netflix, however....:broken:

A recurring joke on the show is how the detective sometimes 'interrogates' people by asking a question and when the subject says they don't know or refuse to answer just continues to stare at them while saying nothing at all. The tension continues to build and eventually they start volunteering information that they think will be in their defense. I gotta try that IRL.

The Pitt. It’s sooooo good.
I will add this to my queue

this too!
Finished 'The Four Seasons' last night.

Nice. Funny.
I just started this - it's okay - I love the actors but it feels a little cliche so far
