History of You was pretty rough for sure. Apparently Robert Downey Jr. optioned that episode to be made into a movie sometime. I'm not sure that episode had enough content to do a full movie though. I think the most powerful episode was Be Right Back though.

I stayed up too late last night watching Penny Dreadful on Netflix. This was compounded by watching the last half inning of the World Series game last night in bed. I mean, I was in bed, not the game!
 
The Tudors. It's pretty awesome. It only ran for 4 seasons though, I'm on Season 3, Episode 2 right now.
 
Finally started watching The Man in The High Castle after seeing (quite possibly the greatest product placement ever) a commercial for the show moments before the 1st Trump v. Clinton debate kicked off.

The I will watch season 1. And when I'm finished, you and I will watch it together simultaneously while face-timing and live-streaming a podcast of our commentary and thoughtful, heart-felt analysis.......that nobody will watch but that will be the greatest podcast ever and make the ghosts of sensitive people cry. Also clearly you will be providing the counterbalance to my gushy-ness. :-$
 
I've been getting into Burn Notice. I got the first season on DVD for 25 cents at a garage sale and it played out pretty good. So I got subsequent seasons from the library. Now I am about halfway through Season 4. It's OK, but not really as fun as the first season, with stepped up levels and violence and more preposterous story arc. In many ways it seams like Season 5 and later of 24. The writers are making it up as they go along.
 
Well Jessica Jones got release to iTunes. I ended up downloading the entire first season. Interesting series so far, with a female anti-super hero.

Yes it gets a little dark as it goes along but I liked the show - you might like White Collar and Leverage if you liked that show, btw

I am watching Dicte and also Paranoid - both great shows - Dicte is in subtitles so I can't watch it if I am doing something while watching
 
Don't expect anyone to be that interested but I'm currently watching all those episode of 'Poirot' that I missed seeing on PBS during the last 20 years or so.
 
Gilmore Girls. Everything is awesome in Stars Hollow, just in case you were wondering.
 
I started watching Sliders. I don't remember watching it in the 90's. It's okay some episodes are way better than others.
 
I watched The 100 last week. Usual post apocalyptic trying to be Game of Thrones kind of thing. Not bad.

Started watching 3%. Only 3% are selected to be part of the super rich world. The rest are super poor. Who will make it? What will they do to win a spot? and of course there is drama from the rich people watching over the selection process. Good so far. Warning, it is in Portuguese since it's a Brazilian show. All nicely subtitled for American idiots like me.
 
Working my way through Series 1 of Bron/Broen (The Bridge). This one is the Scandi original, which I've never seen, although I've watched the two remakes - the two seasons of the FX series The Bridge, and the first series of the British/French version The Tunnel.
 
Watched the first two episode of Stephen Fry's America (six part series). It was entertaining to see a Brit's take on our culture and history.
 
borrowed Season 2 of Rick and Morty from the library. Was pretty good, but with some purposeful and meta retreads of concepts from Season 1.

But if you like no holds barred science fiction/drama/animation/hilarity/meta-meta jokes every other minute for a 22 minute episode (or if you saw and liked any of Season 1), this would be for you.

Warning: It is decidedly for mature audiences only.

Inter-dimensional Cable 2 may have been funnier than the first. I really like how the series can go from recklessly hilarious to depressingly sad in a matter of minutes.

If you decide to check out Rick and Morty, be prepared, buckle down your Vincents and make sure all your real fake doors are closed.
 
I watched the entire series "The OA" on Netflix yesterday. Do yourself a favor and just don't bother with it. It's incredibly self serving. The lead writer (who is also coincidentally the lead producer and lead actress) clearly wrote herself into the role. It's really pitiful.

I agree but why do so few movies and shows get the contiguity of the seasons right? Winter one scene, fall the next, etc etc. The Crown was not horrible in this respect but it was the only thing I saw that was occasionally out of context.
 
Last night I watched the first two episodes of Westworld. I felt pretty dirty afterwards and wanted to go take a shower with some bleach and a scouring pad... but I'm going to keep watching.

You want to know how lame I am? I've been re-watching Deep Space 9 (currently in the middle of season 2). I hadn't seen the show for almost 20 years. Oddly it seems to have aged slightly (emphasis on slight) better than STTNG.

Funny thing, I don't recall Dr. Bashir being that annoying the first time I watched it.

The Man In the High Castle Season 2 on Amazon....they did an amazing job with the production value and story. The book is a short read.

I liked it a lot too. Can't wait for season two.

I started watching Gotham which is pretty good.
 
I"ve been obsessed with the WHite Queen watching it many times over, but most recently binged on The Medici and then Versailles, both Netflix series. Versailles had it's moments but twas a bit boring despite the antics of the Chevalier and the Duc de Orleans.

Ill have to tune into The Crown for a modern take on the monarchy.

ANyone watching The Hollow Crown?
 
Watched the entire "Series of Unfortunate Events" on Netflix this weekend. It was great! I didn't read the books in depth too much, but read enough to know the generally feeling of the books was spot on with the show. Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf is perfect. He's better than Jim Carrey for sure.
 
I discovered that the original Thundercats from the the mid-1980s are available to stream on Amazon Prime. I remember watching them when I was a kid and realizing they were pretty awful but being unable to look away. I introduced my daughter to them and she was hooked. We went through about 6 or 7 episodes before we realized how much we had watched. I imagine she's home watching some right now.
 
Saw the first episode of Mad Men last night. You wonder how accurately they portray the office ethos/attitudes of that era.

Jst go ask your folks. They were alive back then. It's interesting talking to my dad about that era. By the same token, that stuff that was ok back when I started in the profession probably wouldn't fly now.

Starting Series 2 of Bron/Broen tonight.
 
I finished the whole first season of The Magicians and The Expanse in like two weeks, just in time for the second season premiere of both. I'm pretty impressed with the quality of SyFy's shows.

I watched a couple of episodes and had to stop as it felt like a job I had in the 80's

A Series of Unfortunate Events was great. Love the baby and the 4th wall comments about Neil's acting, Netflix, and more.

I might have to try Magicians if I can get the time and ignore the family for a few hours.
