2. lady threw our dept. under the proverbial bus to the CM, come to find out she relied on the landlord to take care of the permits and they haven't even been in the office
3. jumped major hurdle this morning on getting a project off the ground

1. Dipping dots are great for your kids and that's about it.
2. Maister and few other older Cyburbs will remember freeze dried or spaceman's ice cream
3. I think it's been remarketed for campers

1. I have four traffic lights between my house and work. I have never once missed all four.

1) Valentine's Day started with rain, but the sun is attempting to shine now.
2) I think the jacket I'm wearing is ready for the donation pile.
3) With a coworker leaving, I'm inheriting a couple of big projects. One of them is yucky.
4) I'm swamped at work, and there's no end in sight. In fact, all I can see is even more coming in.
5) Anyone else ready for Spring?

2. The salad has some wilted/slimy parts to it, which semi grossed me out
3. The chicken looked like cat food, so naturally it started to taste like cat food

1. Just overheard some coworkers talking and then one said this: "I have some snacks left from Manure Management."
2. I probably pass 15 traffic lights on the way to work, and this morning they were all green. All of them. Green.
3. We have about two trays worth of meat and cheese cubes and fresh fruit left over from some meetings.
4. A coworker's husband just delivered flowers and a gift to her.
5. I have a left-handed day every day. Well, mostly.
 
1. Hubby sent pretty flowers for HVD.
2. Itty Bitty and I are having veggie burritos for dinner.
3. House hunting is stressful.
4. Haven't run in a month due to a bum hip flexor/ ITB.

1. Rejected the counter offer
2. Spent half the day listening to pleas to accept the counter offer
3. By noon my decision to leave was confirmed to be the correct one
4. Spent an hour on the phone with an attorney that costs $550/hour hired to deal with audit issues. Made sure to use my full 60 minutes, which in attorney math is 75 minutes :D
5. Received some lovely flowers from RT. She's good people.

3. Someone put a container of Clorox wipes on my desk. Is a passive aggressive coworker trying to tell me something?
4. The pot roast we prepared in a pressure cooker this weekend was very underwhelming
5. I'll probably never have enough money saved up where I would consider replacing all the carpeting in our house to be a necessary expense.
 
1. I 'won' $4 on a $2 scratch off ticket - I doubled my money but not enough for retirement
2. The girl is home sick
3. Hurry up and wait protocol is happening on a project
4. I installed a Bluetooth receiver in my car this weekend & the hardest part was crawling out from under the dashboard
5. Tonight's meeting shouldn't be overly long - the key word in that statement is "shouldn't"

1. Mrs. P is stressing out at her work cause nobody will follow simple HR rules and she has to 'fix it'
2. Her bosses don't understand why those regulations are necessary (& yes they voted for the hairy cheeto)
3. We have a potential project adjacent to a high school & will impact student access - don't you think we ought to talk to the school or at least mention it
4. This hasn't been the best day, but it did start with a pancake breakfast at Public Works
5. Who lives in a pineapple under the sea? SpongeBob Squarepants!

2. Mardi Gras dinner is silly, fun and will progress to a couple of restaurants.
3. One bone-headed contractor sure can bungle up a couple of my days.
4. One coworker with headphones sure can entertain us with some pretty singing.

1. Seasonal allergies are very early this year and are hitting The Girl strong.
2. I get to go to a BBQ place for lunch in a nearby city today - haven't been there in a couple years.
3. The Girl's middle school soccer season hasn't even started yet and they have revised the schedule - twice!
4. Our finance dept. makes things so complicated.
5. I'm glad yesterday is over. I went to bed at 9:00 last night.
 
1) Long day with P&Z tonight. Hopefully no questions on my prelim plat.
2) Still moving into the new house. Unloaded a couple more boxes last night.
3) Like my new commute. Time wise about the same, but miles shorter and more scenic.
4) Overall dragging yesterday and today - I am so sore, too, if I don't get up and move around.
5) Busy! Busy! Busy!

4. Junior is proving to be a sore disappointment in the Dependability Department. He just isn't very diligent about performing ANY responsibility without numerous reminders, but at the same time resents the reminders he gets.

2. Half of my staff took work home because of a snowstorm that never happened.
3. My son has been cooking Wednesday dinner, and he's doing a great job.
4. One of my counterparts found out that he has a private Facebook "fan" page. Now that's something to be proud of.
5. If I can't come up wth 5 things for Tuesday, you can't expect 10 from me on Thursday.

2. Some friends and I talked about doing a race in Hawaii in 2018.

2. Witnessed a minor traffic accident on the way to lunch - called the cops & told him if he needed a witness report, stop by the office.

4. I have two meetings on my calendar tomorrow - one is 4 hours long and the other is 2.
5. Three items on tonight's Council agenda have potential to be very long-winded.

1) Should I go to the gym tonight or work in the woodshop after the kids go to bed?
2) It is really nice outside.
3) I like the web version of Sketchup. I have a lynix based laptop (old dell) for inside my woodshop to design projects.
4) The daycare is having a parents night out on Friday and offering free care for the kids. Wife wants to use the time to go grocery shopping. :not:
5) Going to a hockey game next week. Both teams suck this year....
 
1. Late yesterday I actually changed the mind of greenway hater. He said he now regrets signing the petition. That should be a +7 on Planner Scoring.
2. The city attorney is slow in responding to requests. It's cramping my style, but I have an excuse when the CM wants to know status.
3. I am in charge of a special project that is much more public works oriented than planning. I found it odd I was directing work for 2 of their division heads.
4. County planning staff is totaling uninterested in a joint planning project. I'll be upset if they start to heavily edit things in the draft report.
5. dandy, I voted for 'Rowdy' for the baseball mascot's name. I wanted to suggest 'Woody' but that wasn't a choice.
 
1) Weather change expected later today. I think my hair losing the curl was a big hint that it's coming!
2) Hubby washed my car over the weekend. Technically he had the machine do it, but it's the cleanest my car's been in months!
3) Big project talk, no project action. I guess that means it'll all hit next week, with zero time for edits.
4) Coworker is looking at new cars, because his wife's was totaled in an accident (no major injuries!). One of the models he's looking at is what Hubby drives. I'm tempted to arrange a test drive, but Hubby's not comfortable offering that.
5) This weekend currently has no plans other than errands/the usual. I think I'll see what exhibits are showing in the various museums around town . . .

4. Storm wasn't as bad as expected, but the fog last night was.
3. PW has had a year to fix something in particular and today it becomes an emergency? C'mon guys!

1) Trying to get all my reports uploaded prior to end of day. Since half the staff will be gone for Good Friday, we're going to have our agenda posted early.
2) Rainy/storming weather = me wanting to take a nap. Or curl up with a good book and a cuppa tea.
3) No plans tonight! And I finally used up all of my red&gold thread crocheting crystals, so maybe I'll start a new project.

1. Sheets are expensive.
2. I found sheets that I like at Amazon for $2.69. Yes. $2.69.
3. Yes, I ordered them, more out of curiosity than need.
4. They are a designer brand, and we called them the homicide sheets, which would make them worth far less than $78 msr.
5. They didn't arrive when promised, which now makes them the fraud sheets. Order cancelled.

1) Last day as an employee of this fair city! Start my new Director gig on Monday.
2) Feeling a little bittersweet, as I have some great coworkers here.
3) Had some furniture delivered Sat, and spent the day arranging/rearranging all the new stuff.
4) Rainy/misty morning, and rain for the afternoon. I'm hoping that's not a sign of things to come . . .

1. The pollen has returned with a vengeance. Cars are yellow and the parking lot has tire tracks. Hopefully a little rain today will knock it down somewhat.
2. Are smoke detectors preprogrammed to only start beeping in the middle of the night for a dead battery? This morning at 4:00 am - UGH!
3. I keep waiting on the PW Director for information. I've asked for it now 4 times over the last 2 weeks. I will not cover for him if the CM asks for a status report.
4. We have a developer who wants us to pay for 1/2 the infrastructure costs for his 60 unit SF detached subdivision. It's nothing special, but he thinks he is.
5. I need to cleanup this mess of a desk. The problem is I know what's in each pile/stack of papers so it's pseudo organized in my mind.
 
1 - Went to the Dermatologist - froze a few spots & took (cutout) a small spot off my back.
2 - When to the Dentist & after x-rays referred me to an Endodontist for a root problem.
3 - Easter - I got to be the Easter Bunny - bought the candy, helped fill the plastic eggs & hide them.
4 - As an USGS National Map Corp Volunteer, I have made over 1,500 edits since they switched edit software in August 2016.
5 - I have over 900 hrs of sick time banked which equal to over 5 months.

4) New dog is working out, and she's really lazy. I wonder how she can sleep so much!
5) New office location is interesting: not in City Hall, and we take up half of two floors. Why not lease the entire first or entire second floor, rather than split us up?

2. All morning meeting tmrrw - I'm really hoping there's a bright spot to it

3) Am loving the chill in our new dog. She is very calm around the house and in the yard. Even the doorbell ringing doesn't set her off.
4) Hubby ordered the new bedframe for the guestroom. Hopefully we'll have it installed before my parents come visit.
5) Didn't sleep well last night, and am seriously dragging today.
 
A. ZBA tonight with just two cases. Both of which will have large crowds and be controversial. Staff recommendation is denial for both. Fun.
B. It is unseasonably cool and very windy here today. And they say today is the pick of the litter for this week. Cold wet Derby weeks suck.
C. I haven't a clue about the Derby field this year other than there's an outside chance a horse named Master Plan might get in the field.
D. I have decided to paint the kitchen drawers and cabinets. It's so dark in the kitchen and the birch cabinets don't help. It'll look good when I'm done.
E. The guy writing our new zoning ordinance is slower than molasses in January. I'm going to have to light a fire under him, it seems.
