Music 🎵 Today's Music Break thread

I interrupt your regularly scheduled boomer rock (which I love too, don't get me wrong) for something a little more recent - glad to see the Gen Z kids still have it and are still playing instruments:

Thanks for the awesome ref.

This is equivalent to me finding Lawrence about 7 years ago.

One song from each of the bands I'll be seeing live tomorrow night...

Opener #1: The Ghost Inside (have never seen/heard of them before...not worried if I miss this one while getting to the venue)
Eh, I really wasn't into the song I shared...so I removed it. Definitely will be shopping merch and getting a drink during their set.

Second Act: Halestorm (this will be my second time seeing them, they put on an excellent show)

Headliner: Volbeat (1st time seeing them live, been a fan for years...and i just love the ridiculousness of this song title)

Ghost does a good show. I saw Volbeat open for Ghost a few years ago and first when they opened for Iron Maiden. I'd say give Ghost a chance.

Not the same band..."The Ghost Inside" is the opener, not "Ghost." Two very different bands.

There are songs that can never be adequately covered. This is one of them. Many people, even Deep Purple fans, are not aware of this song but in recent years it's become vocalist Ian Gillan's signature song.

Confession: I didn't see this video back in the day and only saw it quite recently. Now that I've seen it, I can't say that it's aged poorly, as I strongly suspect it was in equally poor taste even 26 years ago.

Well, I thought about posting this song but then thought, no. I do like the basslines.

Neal from Journey, and Jan, most famous for the the Miami Vice music.

This one has been an earworm for well over a week now...it's the chorus that gets me.

I had a more dangerous job. I was the Marines taxi. I was Navy.
So a question...Hollywood always portrays fighting between the Army and all other branches. Since the Marines and Navy work close together, I assume the same does not hold true. Hollywood also shows that when the Army and Marines meet in bar, a fight will inevitably break out and the MPs clear it out. If the Navy and Marines meet in a bar, what happens? Bad mouth the Army or the cushy accommodations and duties of the Air Force?
