Music 🎵 Today's Music Break thread

I think that's the first time I've heard that song since the 80's. I don't think I've ever heard it played on a classic rock station (in truth I haven't really listened to classic rock stations with any regularity for probably 20 years). Wonder why it doesn't get air time?

I do not recall hearing Donnie Iris until 1983 with Do You Compute? Not on the radio but a locally produced and aired (Minneapolis) 30 minute video show called Saturday Night Rocks, KDWB 101. Ah! Leah! came out in 1980, which I hear occasionally on SXM.

Been years since I heard it...but popped up in my feed the other day...

I've been acquiring more CDs lately. Sometimes I get used ones off Discogs and when I find one I want I'll go through the seller's catalog and pick up one or two more (since adding CDs to an order makes the shipping per CD cheaper).

I picked up Tom Petty's Damn the Torpedoes and yeah... good album! Petty's third album and while they were still on the rise. Old and familiar but listening to the whole album is like a breath of fresh air.

Damn the Torepedos was one of the albums (my oldest brother's) I would play without him knowing, when he was out of the house. That, along with AC/DC Back in Black, Boston Boston, and Van Halen I.

This will hopefully be good as the first.

Didn't get a ton of radio play in my neck of the woods, but X96 (then KJQ) played it some. I loved it, and always looked for the album at Pegasus Records (I'm that old) but never found it, and then I went to Argentina and forgot about it....until recently. Thanks, Apple Music. :)
