I wore a sweatshirt walking the dogs this evening. It was about 50 degrees but after the last several days when it was in the mid 20s, 50 felt almost tropical. The ice storm is behind us now. The worst day for walking was yesterday; after several freeze and thaw cycles, trying to navigate on foot was treacherous. Walking the dogs was about 4 blocks and that was it, and they didn't seem too disappointed either.November 3: MY GOD IT'S ONLY 36 DEGREES WHERE IS MY BIG COAT, STOCKING CAP, AND GLOVES?
February 3: It's -6 and I'll only be out a few minutes; I'll skip the coat.
Officially it only got up to the low 50s today but when we were out and about it was sunny and the car thermometer read 64. Most of the ice has melted (except for patches in the shade) and roads are generally clear now.
Some forecasts say we won't hit freezing again tonight, but some say it will get down to 32 with a chance of "freezing fog"
