Don't forget after the stock market crashed in 2008. One of the lowest I saw was $1.58 by DetroitPlanner (rest in peace) in Nov. 2008. The disparity between September and November of 2008 is pretty shocking. From $4.19 to $1.58.

$1.64 at the place on the corner.

Last fill up I redeemed my points from my grocery loyalty card and saved 50 cents per gallon at their station.

I fill up about 2 times a month - the advantage of a hybrid!

$1.66 in southern Naperville

$0.78 in Houghton Lake Michigan.

(No I am not there but several media sites posted it)

Why is that? I checked nearby cities up there and they were in the $1.60s-$1.80s, but Houghton Lake stuck out like a sore thumb at $0.78 and $0.95.

Price war. Though it seems like they must of lost a lot of money. I'm under the impression that the profit on gasoline is pretty small for the retailer.

Regular here is around $2.12, but just found some for $1.88. Nothing like a new Speedway station to fuel a price war.

So how low do you think the price of gas will go? Do you think it will get under $1.00 at your location. The Houghton Lake MI thing is an isolated situation and has factors beyond the price of oil in play.

$1.55 this morning. I would fill up except I'm nearly broke til Thurs.

With the local grocery store fuel points I just paid $0.80 a gallon. I filled up the tank for $10.50.

This past Saturday I paid 1.85 per gallon at an off brand station on Flushing Ave in Bushwick, Brooklyn. Ive seen prices in New York fluctuate from 1.85 to 2.30 and in Jersey fugghetaboutit!

Dropped to $1.39 by lunchtime!!

Filled up on Saturday for $1.79 in Jersey City. Felt screwed because I passed over $1.55 in Bloomfield, NJ. Nonetheless, the fillup in JC cost me $15 from halfway above a quarter of a tank to full!

Update: looked on Gasbuddy and the average for Ontario, Canada is now $.86 a litre. That works out to about $3.45 a gallon. Buying gas in canada sucks.

It's on the rise again. I heard on the news yesterday that we've hit our bottom and now we're going up. How far up?, I'm not sure.
