NEVERENDING ♾️ The NEVERENDING Gas Price Thread

$2.34
Gone down a bit and based on projected global surpluses understand it may drop to the $2 range before the year ends

2.55 in Bensenville, IL. In other news I drove too far on E for too long and my car wouldn't start. Luckily I live a block from a gas station, unluckily they charge $10 for one of those plastic gas cans.

$2.16 here in western Ohio. I passed 8 stations at that price then you get to the next town and it was $2.40.

Odd.

$2.94. Basically the price jumped 70 cents a gallon last week. This after the news that Iran would be flooding the petroleum market with yet more crude.:r: I truly don't understand.

Still had half a tank, but couldn't resist filling up for $2.21 yesterday while in the town-next-door.

While I get over 500 miles per tank, and 35-40 mpg, I still have a bit of the leftover OMG-cheap-gas-I-should-get-some mentality left over from my previous SUV.

Saw $1.99 regular over the weekend. Most stations are somewhere around $2.05 - $2.07 right now. Crazy what's going on. A Gallon of designer water costs more right now and won't get you as far.

In the last week or two, gas spiked up to almost a dollar a gallon more in some places around here. It's generally now in the $3.00-$3.50 range. Mostly in the $3.30s in my immediate area. I might only put in half a tank tonight and get gas for cheaper later this week when I'm a little further west.

Refinery in Whiting, IN is broke. Midwest gas prices spiked as a result. $2.779 here.

2.33 at my fill-up yesterday. Prices are ranging from 2.33 to 2.60 in the region.

Paid $1.87 this weekend and most stations are sub $2 with Costco at $1.81.

I never understood people driving out of their way to save 5 cents for a gallon of gas. If you have a 20 gallon tank that is a dollar of savings. If it takes you an extra 5 minutes to get the cheaper gas station and you value your time at $10 a hour you spent 85 cents getting there.

$1.55 - $1.85 around me. The $1.55 places are about 5 miles out of my usual direction of travel. Debating whether it's worth it to go there or fill up for $1.76 somewhere closer.

For a ten gallon tank that's $2.00 in savings. Factor in your time and cost getting there and back and its not worth it.

Paid $1.70 in Jackson County, Michigan last night. Cheapest I saw was about $1.62 outside of Toledo, Ohio.
