NEVERENDING ♾️ The NEVERENDING Gas Price Thread

In the far southwest suburbs of Chicago, gas prices are a little all over the place at the moment. Many places are already down to $2.99 - $3.10, but there are still several holdouts stuck in the 3.20s and 3.30s. And of course things are always going to be a little higher in parts of Cook County and Chicago.

Paid $3.299 gallon in a first ring burb of the Ville this PM. There is no reason we should be this much higher than our peer cities

I saw $2.98 at one place on the way in this morning. However the Plus was $3.44 & the Premium was $3.56

I spied $2.73 cash price this morning. I'm going to fill 'er up.

And West Michigan spiked again to over $3.00 per gallon as they were losing money at $2.80ish. but some places have already gone back to $2.99.

Do they still require attendants to do that for you in NJ? Its been about 15 years since I've driven there. If so, that's a bargain!

Yup! No pumping your own gas here. The funny thing is that I've lived in the two states that ban self serve. I don't mind in the winter ;)

Is it customary to tip the station attendants? I've only had my gas pumped a few times in my life.

$2.69 at Costco, $2.71 at the neighborhood Hess. Couple of off brand station are at $2.59 for cash.

Down to about $2.45-$2.51 in many places in my corner of far west suburban Chicago. Even one at $2.39. Some holdouts still in the 2.60s and 2.70s though.

A few southern states have it as low as $1.99? LINK

It is as low as $2.29 at one place here in West MI, but all the stations around me are round $2.49.

$2.27 to $2.35 at many places near me.

I got eight gallons (which almost fills up my tank) for under $20 last night. I haven't been able to do that since the stock market crashed in 2008.

$2.499 here. Based on one inflation calculator I checked, gas is cheaper now than when I left for college in August 1978 !

Does anyone else use Gas Buddy? According to the app, there are a few gas stations in my region (Admiral) that is at $2.01.

Yes. That is where I always get my data for posting in this thread. :lmao:

Sure, I also see prices driving down the road, but they change all the time, so I look at Gas Buddy to find the most up-to-date info.

$2.05 just a few minutes ago. That's the lowest I can recall seeing it prior to the invasion of Iraq
