Yes it's finger food unless your British. I mean those people eat burgers with a fork and knife.
I've always been one to use a fork, use the fork to get some tartar on the fish, take a bite, repeat. Perfect Tartar distribution.I had fish and chips for lunch today.
I like to dip my fish into tartar sauce but, if the fish is good quality white fish and nice and flakey, it usually just falls apart and turns into a big mess if I try to eat it with a knife and fork so I always end up using my fingers. I know my wife would give me a look of disgust if I were to do that in front of her. So that begs the question: Is fish and chips a finger food?

But, I don't know if @luckless pedestrian has ever made it there, for a "hand" food you simply cannot beat the "haddock burger" at Bagaduce Lunch in Penobscot, ME. Let them ask if you want tartar on it, and always say yes:

I am very circumspect with my GoodReads: I keep one paper book on there and one in my libby / hoopla app. No more. I immediately update my status. Immediately!!I have 21 books on my "Currently Reading" list on GoodReads. I really need to finish some of those. Just knock'em off the list.
