Hot Take: Hadestown is one of the best musicals ever.
I saw it live in ATL right before I got COVID in 2022. It is in fact where I got COVID.
Most crowded show I ever attended.
One of the best shows I ever attended. It is called a "folk opera" by critics.

I like the way you think!

My other suggestion was going to be to just halfa55 the first task.

I like that, that way I can be 120% done with two tasks. I can take that extra 20% from both tasks and already be 40% done with the third task. Since I only use 50% of one ass (which equals 240% of one task) to do 2.4 tasks, I can use the remaining 50% of one ass to do the latter 2.4 tasks (out of 6), and simply phone in the sixth. Boom.

I was setting up PC meeting - turning on the council chamber lights, getting the podium key out of the closet, setting out the name plates....and it occurred to me: It felt just like a scene from Breaking Bad or Better Call Saul. I mean, exactly like it. Pay strict attention sometime while you're doing something mundane. Don't speak. No music. Cut it all a little faster in your head. That's Vince Gilligan directing your life.
Have a nice night.

we are doing Pi Day here at work - I made a cherry pie from frozen tart cherries - the recipe I used as tapioca and a smidgeon of almond extract - I made 2 so we could taste one last night and it was good!

My dad used to say "men don't eat cake, men eat pie". It's been well over 50 years since I first heard that and I still don't know what the heck he meant or even why. :headonhands:

Most people get bonuses at work. Work for a city and you get a $200 sonic toothbrush as a "benefit". I'll take it. It is kind of a cool toothbrush.

City I worked for previously had a great tax base - regional mall and several auto dealerships. A few times we did get a $1000 December bonus.

We have unions so I get whatever they negotiate which is sometimes a bonus, sometimes extra vacation, etc.

I get a couple hundo longevity pay each year at the turn of the FY. Not so much as a t-shirt otherwise.

We used to have a health insurance plan that let you cash in some rewards $ to buy stuff vaguely health-related- I bought bike parts.

A colleague found an old budget for the city from 1996. It was $48million.
Last year the approved budget from the city is $51million,
I'm so sick of hearing a certain few citizens whine & cry & bitch & moan about tax money being wasted.

I found an error in one of our formulas that might have cost the city $24 million over the last 5 years. I guess I can put that on my resume since there won't be any kind of bonus for fixing it.
