In an unabashed effort to get to 1K, what is the weirdest/most disgusting thing you or someone you know eats regularly?

My cousin eats lima beans with ketchup every Thanksgiving.

Not a food but a cooking/eating method: when I make my son a fried egg, he always eats the entire white first, then pops the entire yolk in his mouth whole so it bursts when he bites down and then he swallows the entire yolk at once.

I eat marmite on the regular, which for some reason most people, including my wife, find incredibly repulsive.

My niece puts nutella in milk and eats it. Not like stirred up or blended somehow, just a couple blobs of nutella in a bowl of milk. Maybe not disgusting but weird.

F%ing people. You try to be efficient by asking if we need to do this one thing to the person responsible so that you can all avoid another item on the council agenda. No response. We hold our meeting, all is good and a couple days after you get the email saying we need another council item for that thing you mentioned a few times, but got no response to.

Probably not. I found a crisp $100 in a hotel lobby once. I looked around and there wasn’t anybody there. I told the desk clerk if anyone reports something missing please let me know. Nobody said boo so I went home with it.

Same. There’s only one annual bill that needs payment by check. Last few years I sent an echeck through the credit Union’s bill pay….because I didn’t have envelopes or stamps 😆
 
I may have posted about my childhood friend, Bob Kneitinger, before; he was a mentally disabled man who started writing children's a books a few years ago in his 50s.


I found out from his sister today that Bob has passed away. RIP, Bob, and thanks for showing us some of the important things in life.

I wrote a corny joke on my the lunch bag for my oldest and also packed a small box of chocolates in there for a surprise at lunch. My youngest will have a small box of chocolates waiting for her when she gets home and I have a small box for my wife as well. I am nothing if not unimaginative!

Saved money by not having a wife, SO, or daughter
 
We've never really gone out of our way to observe Valentine's Day. This year I got my wife a small gift- a wooden box with scroll work cutouts with a rose design, with a light inside. When you turn on the light it projects the roses around the room. I only got it because I have a friend who started a side hustle making these kinds of things and saw him and his partner at my local craft brewery with a bunch of their stuff for sale.

I will be running a planning commission meeting. Seriously. Probably a long one, too.

So, my wife and the three of my kids who still live at home are going to the local bowling alley / arcade and having dinner out. I got good kids, stepping in for their absentee father.
 
On top of the rebuilt Notre Dame Cathedral, there is a rooster that is mid-transformation into a Phoenix, which is honoring the old structure and the original golden rooster but also recognizing the rebirth after the fire.

I think the transformation is a phenominal idea... but I am still trying to understand why there was an golden rooster atop the old spire to start with.
