Might have to throw one of our developers in for a state planning award for their work on growth analysis stuff.

I am intrigued. Compliments to developers don't get tossed around here very much.....

I thought that sentence was going to go in a different direction. I thought it would be, "Might have to throw one of our developers under a bus..."

I found the sound of that song annoying and the lyrics doubly so.

I'm sure you like it though.
I find the lyrics grating. Less so the song. Occasionally I post things for the purpose of triggering nostalgia more than song appreciation. This was one of those. It was this or the Gin Blossoms to capture the spirit of the 90's. I chose Dead Eye Dick.

(Wichita) Wind Surge to adopt alternate identity as the 'Chili Buns' for two games
The name comes from the Midwest comfort food pairing of chili and cinnamon rolls.
To capitalize on the name, Riverfront Stadium's concession stands will offer a cinnamon roll with a cup of chili,

what a logo.

Reminder: in less than an hour, Taylor’s new album drops, and the Internet will be broken.

Uh, can you explain why in the world you'd put your cinnamon roll into a bowl of chili? Did you lose a bet or something?

/Actually kind of curious
//May visit Wendy's and Dunkin for lunch

I have heard of some putting some cinnamon in their chili recipe, but not the whole bun.

The ex used to put cinnamon in her chili recipe. It was tolerable.

But a whole bun? Um, no.

I believe Cincinnati chili uses cinnamon, as well as some other Mediterranean spices. But just a little, not a lot.
We are close enough to Cincy to have the cinnamon influence and the spaghetti influence as well.

Went to get some routine lab work done this morning. The lobby was full. It always amazes me: people know they will be waiting a while, and don't bring anything to read or do with them. (Crossword, crochet, etc.) Everyone resorts to having to play on their phone. I, on the other hand, am happily engrossed in my book until it's my turn.

I was impressed at how remarkably easy it was to get my FireStick up and running at the Indigo in Minneapolis this week. Took me about 20 seconds, and I didn't have to enter any codes or mess around with settings on the TV--just switch the input on the remote.

It should not take an act of Congress to be able to watch TV in one's on hotel room--many hotels I've been in recently should take lessons from the Indigo.

The only fault with the room is that it didn't have a tub (I do love to soak), but that's not a dealbreaker. I don't even mind the view of the construction site next door.

We spent $100 dollars for dinner in an old 7-11 tonight.

It used to be a 7-11 but now it's Teddy Wong's Dumplings & Wine. Very good upscale Chinese restaurant. The food was incredibly delicious and the wine was good too. A little on the expensive side but I'd go back.

The wonton cartel is driving up prices.

Pollen be damned. I had to mow the grass Saturday and did so wearing a covid mask. I was able to breathe.

Our friend's daughter just bought a house with 5 acres. When my wife texted me, I responded with "we need to get her a house warming goat". My wife responded back "autocorrect? LOL. You meant gift, right?", quickly followed by "Don't get that girl a goat."

Or, you know, they could be doing crosswords or reading a book... on their phone.

This one has been a favorite in our household for years.

My oldest was psyched when we were watching the Neil Patrick Harris version of Lemony Snicket (highly recommend the show for parents with young kids) and the kids were walking through a market and a fishmonger was calling out, "Fish heads! Roly poly fish heads!"
