Yes, those are from the larger of the two magnolias in our backyard - they're both probably 30-50 years old. They're beautiful trees, but messy (petal carpet in Spring, leaf carpet in Fall).

For the last week I've found it entertaining to tell folks about the anniversary party I attended today. "Forty-five years ago I was in a wedding..." My sis (the doctor) is on the left.

The Aughts may have brought us global warming and internet stalkers, but at least there's now attractive eyewear for all ages. We'd gotten our first pairs of glasses that same week.

exactly - my oldest is a great kid but wow, it's like living with Jekyll/Hyde - :-c

It's quite simple. Some like chains, others whips. For me, it's all about the barbed wire. :-D Actually that was one of the displays from Jefferson City's Art in the Park a few years ago. I love that picture because there's an air of mischievousness about it.

Valentine's dance

The biggest drawback to being a dance caller is: ya never get to dance. So if you share the mic with another caller, you can hit the floor and have some fun.

This is my mentor, Glen Morningstar. Kiss! Man is in the black shirt behind me. (I think we were partners. In this type of dancing, you get to get up close and personal with everyone present.)
