It's good, but be warned, it takes a few episodes to really get into it. I was on the fence until about midway through the first season. It's almost like they changed writers, everything just worked much better. By the end of the first season I was hooked. Season 2 started on Wednesday.

Currently watching Shameless. I'll be honest, I really started watching because Emmy Rossum gets naked a lot in it, but I really like the show. It's about so much more than that, it's really really good.
 
Watched 4 episodes Steven Fry in America (2008) yesterday. He travels all 50 states in a London Black Cab. Mostly he hits one place or simply drives thru a state. Very interesting perspectives of different places from a Brit.

yep - but the thing is there are people who chose to live like that. I've done some mission type work at our church and there are a few people like that. I know it sounds strange, but its true.
 
I'm alternating between watching episodes of season 4 of "Deep Space 9" and Oliver Stone's "The Untold History of the United States." I think most people could learn some things watching 'Untold History'. I was a bit surprised, for instance, to learn just how many democratically elected governments the CIA brought down during the 1950's and 1960's :-| It was also a bit disconcerting to hear about how poor Truman got 'led astray' by advisors immediately after FDR's death. Seems the whole Cold War might have been avoided if we'd followed FDR's diplomatic trajectory. As the series progresses (just got done with Nixon) he appears to be venturing further away from documented facts, and leaning more heavily on opinion. It'll be interesting to see how future episodes go.
 
finished 30Rock a while back form beginning to end, then watched Broad City with my daughter (24 yo so it's ok) on her Hulu account, then Santa Clarita Diet (love Drew Barrymore) and now Schitt's Creek which is a great show, though I wasn't convinced at first

The father in Schitt's Creek is an absolute dead ringer for my first town manager at this job - wow, uncanny

Schitt's Creek is great. That was one of those shows that made me glad to live in an area where we get CBC so we could watch that quite a while ago.

Santa Clarita Diet is next up for my wife and me. I had heard good things about it and but my wife doesn't like gore. However, I convinced her to watch a couple of the previews with me and she saw that it definitely appears to be more dark comedy than horror and since there's Drew Barrymore, she's agreed to watch it with me.

the gory parts are so ridiculously fake (sort of on purpose, mocking the zombie shows) so it's not disturbing - it is almost like a modern Bewitched except she's a zombie instead of a witch

Just started Santa Clarita Diet. It's good stuff. Same with Schitt's Creek. Not really binge watching, just kind of catching an episode where I can.

Got caught up with The Expanse. I had started watching last season, but faded toward the end. I started watching the new season. It's an interesting premise and has a lot of good world building. However, it's gets a bit uneven at times and stretches the credibility line a bit too far.

This has been my problem with this season.
The whole protomolecule thing is kind of weird, especially the last episode with Julie. I haven't read the books, but I would assume somehow Miller survived because Thomas Jane is easily the biggest name tied to the show. This second season has really put the political tensions aside, which I don't really care for. That said, I still love the show.

I know I've already said this, but everyone needs to check out Shameless. It's so freakin good!
 
On a recommendation, I watched episode 1 of Stranger Things last week. I'm told that I need to watch at least 2 more episodes and I will be hooked... So far, I'm not convinced.

I love Frasier; I could watch it 100 times and laugh out loud at every episode.
 
Blasted through Goliath...Amazon has already ordered a second season - really hope that Maria Bello's character gets a larger role in it. Have one episode left in Series 5 of Murder in Paradise, next up is catching up on FX's Taboo (I'm three episodes behind).

Still working through Shameless. I'm midway through season 5 I think.

I'm not a major anime fan, but I was searching for a shorter show to watch, something in the 20-30 minute range, and settled on Attack on Titan. I binged almost the entire 1st season in a day. It's way better than I expected, given how the goofier Titan's ended up as internet memes. It is incredibly strange. Basically humanity has been under attack for centuries by these giant humanoid type creatures and have been forced to retreat behind three circular walls. It is way more interesting than it sounds.

I just looked that up because I didn't remember Cheers being on CBS and I was correct that it was on NBC but it looks like CBS distributed the show. This made me look up Night Court to see if maybe that was distributed by CBS as well so that I could watch that one. Unfortunately, it wasn't.

Murphy Brown was on CBS but was actually distributed by Warner Brothers. Is that one available on CBS All Access?

Finished up a Cheers binge a few weeks ago. It really was a good show.
 
I signed up for This Old House insider... and it has almost every past episode. :-c

I watched episode 1 from 1979 and it was so bad. Episode 2 was a little bit better but it is funny to see Norm Abrams and his first TV role. However it is also crazy to see how OSHA has changed the way people work.

I limit myself to 1 episode per evening.

Did you see the episode where Fraiser jokingly nominates Woody for city council? It was eerily similar to Trumpf's campaign.
 
13 Reasons Why on Netflix - REALLY REALLY good

The just mentioned show, as good as it is, is also depressing, so have been alternating with Santa Clarita Diet. Think Dexter meets Walking Dead on crack, but much less serious. Entertaining for sure.

I watched the first episode. I did not like it, I won't try any more.

Lately I've gotten into an anime kick. I finished Attack on Titan and I'm watching Hunter x Hunter like non-stop now.
 
Bosch Season 3 is available on Amazon Prime starting April 21, and they've already ordered Season 4.

I liked it!

Finished Shetland which was excellent, got caught up on comedians Kathleen Madigan and Jim Gaffigan who I just love, Hinterland, British Spy, Paranoid, The 100 - watched a lot during Lent lol

and I am taking hits on Facebook because I watched seasons 1 and 2 of Better Call Saul and now following it in real time on tv for Season 3 without watching Breaking Bad first, so there's that

watching Death in Paradise which is a little silly but okay
 
The Ranch (Netflix) - Sam Elliott is awesome

The Almighty Johnsons (Netflix) - a New Zealand show about a bunch of brothers who are actually Norse Gods who've powers have weakened over time. Only a few episodes in but excellent so far.

On track to finish Father Brown this weekend. What to watch next? I saw about 20 minutes of the pilot episode of Shetland and was thinking about maybe watching that one next.

I've tried getting into Breaking Bad a few times. I watched the 1st episode two or three times and on one attempt, I made it all the way through the 3rd episode. But it just never stuck with me.

You will like Shetland - I really enjoyed it! I now want to go there!

I am a yuuge Better Call Saul fan but I have not seen Breaking Bad - I will wait until Better Call Saul is over now before I see it

I just finished the next season of Master of None - it was excellent

I am now watching the 4400 but next will get to the new season of Unbreakable Kimmie Schmidt, Bloodline and then HOUSE OF CARDS - woo hoo!

Living solo makes you binge watch :-$
 
I love Father Brown - I'm most of the way through Season 2.

Shetland looks good, and looking for some lighthearted fare.

Finished Hunter x Hunter last week. Moved on to something called Gurren Lagann. It's very weird, but I'm enjoying it so far.
 
I downloaded the second season of Luther, art watching the first one. I also downloaded the first two episodes of the second season of The Last Kingdom. Having read the whole series of books that the series is based on, it's interesting.
 
Started Schitt's Creek this week. What a hoot. I haven't laughed out loud at a comedy in years, but did so when I saw the episode about the 'Welcome to Schitt's Creek' town sign :lmao: ("don't worry it's his sister").

I'm watching Cowboy Bebop now. I've seen bits and pieces of it, but never the entire show from start to finish. It's awesome.

Cowboy Bebop was interesting and a bit disturbing. Different set of cultural norms over there.8-!:-c
