Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Tuesday

I leave pretzels in the Chex mix bag and don't add them when I make chex mix.

It's really windy here today.

I believe that I decorated my prettiest tree yet.

I'm going to a holiday party at my former place of business tomorrow.

I'm going to make cookies with my grandson today. It will be fun, frustrating and messy.

1. Wind blew the cover off my BIL's swimspa last night. That was fun to try to re-secure in a -20 blowing snowstorm.

4. A tee-shirt that reads "Good Girls Love Jesus, Not That Girl from Phoenix", for High Pockets (she loves the Aces, if you aren't listening you should be.)

It's a waste of time to deliver and bring in Tuesday mail.

Today was evaluation day.

Someone took the license plate off of my car and screwed it into to lower set of holes. I wish I knew who and why.

I'm on vacation next week and yay!

I wish I didn't sign up for the office cookie swap.

1) Have a real-estate agent who has not been upfront about a business wanting to locate here. Now that we know the truth, the business owners are flipping out that we won't issue the zoning approval and they are expected to close on the building in a couple of weeks.
2) Last night was the annual charismas banquet with all the municipal elected leaders in the County. I know a lot of staff don't like being there, but I enjoyed it. The ACM from the BIG city and I chatted for a good hour about all sorts of stuff.
3) Oldest starts drivers training soon.
4) I have a bunch of reading that I need to get done before the end of the year for a presentation.
5) Looks like things might be turning the bend in terms of our elected officials. We will see how it shakes out though.

1) Christmas was pretty good, especially considering it's possible I might not have seen this one
2) We made lots of Christmas cookies
3) Those cookies are already 75% gone
4) There's a weird energy throughout the office today. Maybe it's normal. It's been 24 years since I worked the day after Christmas.

Yesterday was the first Monday I worked since last year
First council meeting of the year and with the new council is tonight
The Girl drove back to school late yesterday to avoid the rain today - she begins her last undergrad semester tomorrow

Chocolate covered cashews are very very good.

My house is cold and so am I. I added a third shirt and down vest.

Road trip thus weekend.

I realized that I've grown up and can visit my cousins when they'll have me.

I plan to visit a family cemetery that's inside the Louisville Zoo. I don't think my forebears made money from that sale.

That's enough for today.

I am taking the afternoon off
I plan to play at least some Medieval Dynasty
Have to shovel the driveway several times - I'm not supposed to be shoveling at all, but it's better to do little bits more frequently
We're nearly out of Christmas cookies
cashews sound good right now

Finland 1. Because it's one of the Scandinavian counties. Secondly. for the death metal music.

Yes, I've long suspected that between doting on baby donkeys and kittens, dandy maintains an abiding affection for Scandinavian death metal. She gives off that vibe big time, you know.
