2. Looking for a new rental home or apartment near the new job.
3. Wish I had a start date for the new job.
4. If the pollen count would go down I might actually feel better.
5. We need more rain.

1. Mowed the grass for the first time this season. Haven't fertilized in 10 years and every spring it is still a twice a week job.
2. The lack of communication and direction in our organization sometimes just staggers me.
3. The new ESPN website is beyond awful.
4. I really can't see myself being a planner in another 10 years.
5. Sometimes I forget how impressive so many of the federal buildings are in DC until I make a visit there.
 
1) Seems everyone in the region knows I am leaving and is rushing to get me as many projects as possible. My to-do list is more than twice as long as typical.
2) Last night I started working on my To-Do-Move check list. (I like lists)... my wife thought the level of detail that I went into was funny.
3) Former co-worker called to ask me about my heat bill. She wants to buy my house if her husband will let her. Awesome house with an amazing skyline view, in a dream location on a quiet street, with off street parking and a two car garage. That is as good as it gets in my neighborhood.
4) I need to run to the landfill this weekend to unload a trailer of stuff from my garage and basement.
5) Even when I don't agree with the reason for a regulation, I do appreciate it when the City Attorney reaffirms my interpretation of it.



Planit I am looking forward to the new beverage opportunities. However there are so many microbreweries in the West Michigan area right now, it would be almost* impossible to try them all.


*I say almost because one could do it. They would have a heck of a year long hang over and be broke, but it could be done.

3. Looking at the summer calendar is making me dizzy. Too many things going on.
4. I'm still figuring out bills, expenses and budget based on the new job paycheck frequency
5. Complaint of the day - "There's mud on the street" - yes, it rained.
 
1. Four day week. I won't disclose why I'm not working Friday, as I've already been chastised for being too free with certain details:-$
2. Should college degrees be required for folks contending with 'my neighbor's dog poops in our yard' complaints?
3. Made home made bread this past weekend and the loaf was gone in less than 24 hours.
4. Rainy and cool this week.
5. I doubt I'll set foot on a boat this summer
 
1) I am so burnt out from working on my house like a crazy man the past several days. Thank goodness for awesome local friends who came over to help us out.
2) My NC quickpass arrived yesterday. There might only be one road in NC that I can use it on, but according to the website, it works with a bunch of other systems, including all of them that I need to drive through when we move.
3) I am coming down with some type of illness and it is making be angry. This is the worst possible week to be sick.
4) Meeting with the realtor tomorrow. Based on the comments from my dad and my friends this weekend, we should be able to make a decent profit on the sale of the house. More depending on how much other stuff we get done.
5) Wife's family tried to reschedule our going away party for May 17th... She told them that we already had plans, so we are doing the family thing this weekend instead.
 
1. Apartment/house hunting is proving harder than actually getting the job.
2. Providing notice makes for an uncomfortable working environment.
3. I may have to move back to my old neighborhood just to find a rental in the area where my new job is.
4. Looking forward to this weekend.
5. I have packed just about everything in my office.
 
1. "There's mud on the street" is a sure way to get a visit from one of my staff.
2. I had to conduct an impromptu job interview today.

1. Things should be picking up here on Cyburbia a little now that Seattle is done.
2. When it comes down to it I'm not that averse to monotonous terrain while driving. I can get my zen on.

4. We are fortunate to have a cool local sausage store in town that makes lots of unusual and interesting sausages
5. Everyone is sick in my family now except me
 
1) Getting a house ready to sell ranks quite high on my least favorite things to do list. Even more so when a can of white paint gets knocked over on black floors at 1 am before a 9:30 am showing. Showing was rescheduled.
2) Had a very nice chat with Beach Bum about NC today.
3) Our nanny is awesome, she is moping the floors and dusting everything in the house today.
4) I fear that tonight will be another late night. Showings tomorrow and open house on Sunday.
5) I wonder if I am going to get to anything on my work to-do list
 
1) Mother in law arrives this evening
2) In fact, she should be landing in about 1 hour
3) It's her first visit in over 5 years - not for lack of invitations
4) Hubby's picking her up at the airport
5) I'm sure the next 5 days will involve me drinking
 
1. I have a quirky fear that I'll drop my keys between the elevator door and the building floor, or past the rail into the railroad crossing.
2. I think I just saw a relative on a promo for a feature TV news story.
3. Traffic seems to be detoured around something and past my house.
4. I've had it up to here with complainants who complain about things that haven't and most likely won't happen.
5. Some people aren't happy unless they're complaining.

1) Drove my new car to work this morning, in the rain
2) Been up since 4 because Hubby had to be at work really early, and I couldn't get back to sleep
3) Have City Council tonight, so a long day for both of us
4) One of my cases for next week has all the ETJers in a tizzy, and it seems they each want to call me to ask the same freakin question, rather than organize and have a representative
5) Is it too early for a beer?

1) The number of days is decreasing but my to-do list is increasing. I am going to draw a line on Thursday at noon... all new requests get processed by the new guy.
2) Faith in my realtor is starting to diminish rapidly.
3) Saturday and Sunday morning are going to be super busy. I will be earning my beer at Stanfest 2015.
4) I think I am going to do some filing tomorrow.
5) I don't plan on changing my phone number. Everyone has cell phones these days so having a local area code seems unnecessary.

2. I started running consistently again. It is difficult to see myself different from when I ran a lot.

4. Who knows why the cookie monster just chomps on cookies, but really digests very little.
5. Parents vs. kids soccer game tonight at my son's practice. We will DOMINATE!
 
1. I saw a turkey vulture sitting alongside a road. Those things are nasty-looking.
2. I have tendinitis is my left wrist, and I'm left-handed.
3. I had a tetanus vaccine in my right arm (should have picked out-of-commission left arm).
4. I got a Mother's Day card from my daughter's friend who's stationed at an air base in Alaska.
5. I'm going to miss our hot and humid weather for a few days.

2. Several recurring obligations are being removed from my plate soon (cub scout and radio season). I'll have weekends again! YAY!!

2) Of course, one case is controversial with a petition, etc.

4) We bought a new tablet, and I'm not getting a lot of time on it to learn the new setup.

4. A major deck repair is staring me in the face - don't know if I should fix a section or replace entire thing
5. The high school bus comes by the house @ 6:45, the Middle School bus @ 7:20 and the Elementary bus @ 7:25. The Girl takes the MS bus. She told me she's glad she's not in HS yet for this reason alone

  2. My house looks like a bomb went off in it as we unpack from our two week vacation and get my husband and rt ready for a three week trip to the Dominican Republic.
  3. rt will have a "new" big girl room waiting for her when she comes back from the DR. The bed and mattress came yesterday, RT has decided on a paint scheme, and she and my nephew who is visiting in a few weeks will put it all together.
  4. MBA classes start next week
  5. Tonight I have a pre-meeting with a division director at a local muni to prep for the big interview with the chief of staff on Thursday.
 
1) Today is my last day at this job. My inbox was full of work this morning. I already have all my personal stuff in a box ready to go.
2) A developer that I have been dealing with on a massive project for more than 3 years is coming in today. We wants my opinion on some things. I think I will meet with him, but he will need to talk to the new guy to get any modifications or approvals.
3) Some friends came over to help us pack last night. We are about 80% there. We can finish up the last 20% tonight.
4) I decided not to anger the seagulls. I don't want them giving the new guy a hard time. However, I know there will be a few people who will press the issue.
5) My wife forgot to let me know what stuff to take to salvation army. Looks like I will have to do that tonight or tomorrow morning.

3. I finished all my donuts from Sweetwater's In Kalamazoo, six was too much for one person since they get stale so quick

5. Sometimes I cook one meal and it ends of lasting the whole week
 
1. Today was non-stop busy for 8 hours.
2, This is election day, and I'll wait for traffic to thin before I walk to the polling place.
3. I'm a disheartened voter and am only voting to keep a couple of people on council.
4. Staying up to watch the last Letterman shows is ruining me.
5. My wrist still bothers me.
 
1. I have run at least 20 miles a week for three weeks. That is roughly 60 miles more than I ran in the previous 3 years combined.
2. My body just goes back to a natural pace though, which is really quite nice. 7:30 like clockwork.
3. I wish my body would remember other things like how to digest food without making my chest hurt, and how to metabolize nightly ice cream.
4. I like Minecraft because it is like SimCity, but with creepers.
5. I ask myself often if I would be a good elected official or not. I think I would be for good.
 
Memorial Day Weekend Hangover Edition

1. Hey mskis - I drove by your new exit off the interstate yesterday and waved. Did you see?
2. Public parking lots over holiday weekends at the beach tend to be VERY crowded. I got lucky though.
3. Touch of sunburn - but now I have my summer base established:r:
4. Lunch today will consist of me picking up our dog from the vet
5. The calendar says it's Tuesday, but it feels like a Monday. But hey, this week is only 4 days long.

1. The kid's gym underneath my office is currently playing "Found a Baby Bumblebee."
2. Now that I'm a grown-up, the lyrics to that song seem pretty mean. And of course, gross. Guess that's why kids like it so much.
3. Did not get to meet Whose Yur Planner during my recent trip to the Deep South, but I unintentionally met Trail Nazi (didn’t realize it until afterward), was a fun quick trip.
4. So glad the fog is here… after last summer, I’m happy for some June Gloom this year!
5. Have to run out over lunch to find two black headbands to make ant antennae for the school play. 

4. My daughter used Spirit airlines from Myrtle Beach to the Arnold Palmer airport. $97 round trip, free parking at both and closer to home than Pittsburgh International.
5. I've gained back a lot of lost weight. :not:
 
1) Survived the flash floods over the Holiday Weekend, and don't want to go through that again.
2) Felt bad for being glad that I am upstream from the worst of the flooding :-$
3) Plus side - now have all the candles and holders out and have plenty of matches (we couldn't find the flashlights!).
4) Hubby picked the worst weather day to drive home in his new crossover vehicle.
5) It's a short week and I'm feeling unmotivated to complete my ZBA report.
 
1. Stressed out this morning looking for Legal notices for my two public hearing items scheduled for tonight's meeting...
2. The application type does not require a Legal notices!
3. Totally exhausted from the AM freakout.
4. Glad all the older applications are complete after tonight and going forward I will actually know what is do and when?

3) Both of our little guys decided that they wanted to sleep on the floor last night. They both can get into their beds... but didn't for some reason.

I have a cold and have napped the past two evenings, which makes it hard to fall asleep. I'm in a "break-the-cycle" slump.
I think I just spent an hour talking to an ex-con or fugitive contractor who's building the house next door.
Their muddy water flowed under my garage door.
Surprise! They had no idea that I know what I'm talking about with these things.
I could have become the complaining neighbor from hell...well, there's still time.

3. A former colleague passed away from complications of a brain tumor - here's to him, he was a good one

1) At a training in Greensboro today. Seems like a nice community. I hope I run into another Cyburbian.
2) It has been hot the past few days. I have to admit that I enjoyed it so far.
3) I love my new truck! However I need to order the module to turn onstar into Bluetooth.
4) Yesterday was the 5th anniversary of my mom passing away... Oh it's also my dad's birthday. Not an easy day for him.
5) My wife is getting angry because she can't find a mid size SUV or a crossover that she likes and is in the price range that we want to pay.
 
1. Sat through a 4-hour EMS meeting, but at least they fed us lunch (& it was actually pretty decent)
2. I was gong to put something about the WWC here, but it'll show up in the random section
3. Cue the afternoon storms - dark clouds moving this way
4. When the phone rings I generally cringe, until I see who's calling
