Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Tuesday

1. I have never experienced a hot flash.
2. My right hand is ice cold.
3. Hubby is in a blah mood today that can only be explained by the fact that it's snowing yet again...
4. Maybe we should go out for Indian food tonight.
5. I hope this upcoming interview isn't a complete waste of time.
 
  1. It's very cold in my office. Someone turned the heat OFF on Friday. The radiators/boiler will need an entire day to bring it up to temperature.
  2. I am tired of snow.
  3. I hate the plumber we use(d). After weeks of blowing up his phone to get work done between the snow events and holidays we called in another plumber who called the original one to tell him he was taking his job. It magically was finished this morning without any prodding from us. Last time we use him, nice knowing you dude.
  4. RT is helping my boss put together a grant application. Guess I am not the only down to the wire grant writer around here.
  5. I have lost 9 pounds since Jan. 6th.
 
1. It was icy and nasty this morning.
2. It was nice this afternoon.
3. I have a night meeting, so I will find out what tonight brings.
4. I should exercise more.
5. And eat less....
 
1. My mom's cousin died Sunday, He & my mom owned a duplex together (inherited)
2. Mom was his only living kin and they weren't close mainly because they lived in different states
3. Mom had asked him about estate planning but he would never divulge any info
4. Looks like I'm going to have to be the main contact
5. Been up since 4:00 am with my mind racing.
 
1. Not in a good place the last few weeks
2. I need to stop procrastinating
3. Auditions went well last night
4. It's amazing sometimes how people can look vastly different from your expectations based on the sound of their voice
5. It's 15 degrees out. Again.
 
1. I hate that I like Clash of Clans.
2. Sometimes I amaze myself.
3. Sometimes I really disappoint myself.
4. I guess that is how life works.
5. I would very much like to have Shepard's pie.
 
  1. Lately I feel like the proverbial hamster on the wheel.
  2. We've come to the realization that we have to ride it out another year in our current apartment where we have issues with the landlord. It's either get some work done on the car or cough up $3,500 for security, first month rent, and moving. Perhaps next year the stars will align and we will be in a position to purchase a home.
  3. Attended an outstanding forum on Friday at Rutgers Newark Law School put on by their new Center on Law in Metropolitan Equity. David Rusk was the main presenter. I miss being in academia.
  4. Looks like I am going to have 3-4 months without any housing projects to manage, this makes me sad because it didn't have to play out like this.
  5. My travel was approved to Louisville, KY for the NeighborWorks Training Institute. Perhaps I will be able to meet up with a Cyburbian who will be leading a couple of tours.
 
1. I hate when someone cleans you space and rearranges things
2. I hate it even more when then family members rearrange what the clean person rearranged.

1. The latest addition to my perennial "to-do" list is to write my will.
2. It's very easy to procrastinate when it comes to thinking about one's own death.
3. I really need to get out more.
4. Got good news from the accountant this week about our taxes... that's a relief.
5. I'm thrilled that my husband is trying to get some work around the house before the warm weather hits. :)
 
1. Had the second skin cancer surgery yesterday.
2. It's behind my ear, so RJ will have to help me bandage it, so
3. I could only take a "sponge bath" this morning and I felt gross all day.
4. I am going thru all my parents' photo albums and picking photos for the third scanning submission
5. Then I'm tossing the albums and relegating the photos to boxes.
 
1. Got an offer on our house!
2. Just got through touring two bankers who stopped by our office. One was way smiley. The other, well, I’m not sure he knows how to smile. Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dumb.
3. I’m on dinner duty tonight. Its 4:20pm and I still don’t know what to make.
4. People keep offering me board positions and I keep turning them down. When are they going to get the picture?!
5. No evening meetings this week. None! Though I do have a 9am Saturday meeting. Still, it seems like a small but significant victory.
 
1. Cornbread with jalapeños and little cubes of cream cheese baked in is pretty good.
2. I can't wait for winter and my itchy skin to go away.
3. Dinner tonight was waffles and sausage.
4. It's time for sleep.
5. Hopefully Wednesday is better than today.

2. I think there will be an auction at some point, but it may be awhile.
3. My old school renovation project has a big meeting with potential contractors today
4. I'm excited to see this continue to move forward.

3. It's funny how tv writers often have to scramble to write around real life events...like major characters dying, cancelling productions and such

5. sorry if any grief was caused by padlocking the Mens Locker Room. It was a fun thread for a few days, but having what appeared would become a more or less permanent 'sex talk' thread is counter to what we're trying to promote at Cyburbia. The fact that we've got people at both ends of the spectrum complaining (i.e. disappointed in the thread's existence/content and disappointed at its short life) suggests the right decision was made
 
1. I'm glad that maister's headache subsided.
2. I'm sorry that planit has his own headache to deal with.
3. Headache alert - the gunshot incident is taking on a life of its own.
4. I'm taking field lunch in a sunny park parking lot.
5. The inside of the car feels like late June.
 
1. With my wife being away so much for work the last two months, I've learned a few things about myself.
2. They are good things.
3. But her being gone still sucks.
4. I appreciate what the spouses of military members have to deal with when they are away.
5. Surprisingly, I feel closer to her more than ever.
 
  1. Helping to plan a wedding is a lot of work, and I'm still at the start of it
  2. And it is expensive
  3. Today marks 1 year at my current job. It started out strong and promising, but our company is now doing poorly in the California region
  4. We (as in several offices) had several very big and complex long term projects that are now ending at the same time... sadly we have been unable to get new ones in line :(
  5. The orange trees in my City seem to be starting to bloom; the smell as I get closer to my home after work is amazing.
 
1. I'm not motivated to work today
2. That usually happens the day after a late meeting
3. Even if that meeting goes okay I still expect something bad to come soon
4. No off the wall comments at the public meeting today
5. I'm not sure if I should be happy or disappointed.

3. There is a cold rain falling now, maybe flurries over night
4. I get to erase a hard drive today - it's one of those things where I'm slightly hesitant to do but know it has to be done
5. Design matters, but some commissioners think its only cost that matters
 
1. I think I caught Junior's illness.
2. I took a Mucinex DM last night at 11 and ended up getting maybe 3 hours sleep
3. There was a dusting of snow, maybe an inch, this morning
4. I dread the idea of sitting thru 2 hours of auditions tonite
5. I like the spelling 'donut' better than 'doughnut', even if it is missing half the letters in the alphabet

1. Someone used my work truck and left an empty coffee cup in it. I hate that.
2. It's amazing how much wildlife hangs around commercial parking lots.

4. My field job seems to be turning into an office job.
5. It's nice that the ice cream stands are opening for the season.

4. I assume if your title is Chief followed by your title, that you have people that work for you, otherwise shouldn't you just be the title?

5. Meeting my daughter halfway for a visit is a good thing to do.

2. I am in a good mood today. That hasn't happened much lately.
3. I could use a $150k lost uncle payment.
4. I wish we could find some land to buy.
5. May 1st is the beginning of my spring / summer exercise program.
