Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Friday

Yeah, but offering poutine on the menu is practically, well, INVITING those people.;)
I would expect this sort of bigotry from our neighbors to the south. There's nothing wrong with poutine, only with palettes that aren't discriminating enough to identify its greatness.

I've had enough of you people. Time for an ice cold Molson. Sorry.

@Tranplanner

IL poutine was ok but not sure how authentic.

The cheese curds were large and the gravy was a relatively thin beef based. Decent to me, but I also don’t have much of a frame of reference.

Viva Le Canada!

1) I am slowly getting back into my workout routine following COVID. It has been a struggle as my energy levels have been rock bottom, but I had a phenominal night's sleep last night.
2) The supplement industry is so difficult to trust these days. I just read a report and discovered that a supplement that I have been taking does not have detectable amounts of what it says it does.
3) I have a night meeting tonight... Yes, you read that correctly. It might take 5 minutes, but it will likely be closer to 3 hours.
4) I found out that potatoes cause my glucose to skyrocket. I was really surprised by this.
5) This weekend is dedicated to home improvement projects. One of which will be cleaning out the garage to allow me to get back to making sawdust.

Does anyone else feel like mendelman cheated in the most horrible way possible? What's the thread title, again?

I have alternative facts regarding my post's legitimate discourse that proves your statement is full of poop.

Do you find yourself at any times thinking it's 15C out? no? Seems like Celsius is one part of metric that falls short. Sure Fahrenheit is based on a completely arbitrary standard, but the usual temperature ranges we find in weather provides for a lot more nuance. it's always something like 20 out in Celsius, but there are much more meaningful differences conveyed between saying it's 72 out versus 85 out in F than it is in saying its 22 vs 29 out in C

My phone and VW Golf does the temp in C. We have an outdoor weather station that does F. The other day I did do the 10C to 50F conversion in my head. Besides 10C=50F, 0C=32F, and 34C=surface of the sun, I still think in F.

  1. They seem so common nowadays

But a tree company recommended it and explained how they would do it. It is like asking a car salesman if you need a new car.

They're possibly not enough, but for the time being, they have to be enough. The alternatives? Too horrible to contemplate at the start of a weekend.:'(
Thank heaven Biden remembers exactly whose children got the Vietnam draft and who got exempt.
