The CE is a former Marine, knowledgeable, calm, and the kind of guy I want at my back in any potentially bad situation. The local is just getting madder and madder, and the CE just keeps repeating the rules and the penalties. The City Manager has already stated that he will back the CE. So, what is the local complaining about? A $30 fine on something he started constructing without a permit.
