Daily things 5️⃣ Five Things Friday

1. I feel like Garfield since I had lasagna for lunch. I wish I could take a nap.
2. It's 66 degrees and misting rain. tRump must have sent us some good old global warming down here.
3. Our plotter isn't playing nice today.
4. Time to cash out my loose change jar. When it's this full like this it's usually around $75 but no coins mendlemen would want.
5. No one in Admin is here this afternoon. Only ACM was here this morning. Jump starting a long weekend I reckon.

Uno: One-third of my staff are out with influenza sounds much more impressive than we're down to two because of the flu.
Dos: I swear nobody reads conditions of approval. Including the boss ... :not:
Tres: Daughter has been accepted to two of the three schools she applied to and is waiting on the final school, which as luck would have it, is her preferred option.
Quatro: We finally have a mayor willing to tackle a major issue in the community and the feds are pulling the rug out from right underneath him (and other similarly situated mayors). I don't know that he'll be able to achieve what should have never happened in the first place, but should have been righted decades ago. We shall see.
Cinco: Today would have been my parents' 69th wedding anniversary. Sadly, it wasn't a very happy union. Had I not come along when I did, my siblings would be amongst those [not Norwegian, or Swedish, or Finnish Scandinavians] so desired by the Cheeto in Charge. I wonder if they blame me ...

1) The melting snow created a nice layer of ice on the roads this morning.

3) Found a few new podcasts that I like.
4) I need to talk to my kids about not touching other kids right now because of the flu.

4. Looks like it's back to Texas for a summer vacation.
5. Corpus Christi anf Texas Gulf Coast seem to be on the agenda.

1) Late Council meeting last night because our Council loves executive sessions.

2) Early morning meeting, followed by another meeting . . .

3) I HATE IT when people are very late to a meeting and don't apologize or have any valid reason for being so late (I'm talking 1/2 hour, not 5 minutes)

4) Supposed to be nice this weekend, which is good - I need to wash my car. It's got bird dooey on it from the undesirable parking location earlier in the week.

5) I'm hungry. When is it not too early to go out for lunch?

1. CM changing things this afternoon for a council workshop on Monday.
2. He had approved all over 2 weeks ago.

4. Guess I'm gonna be here late.
5. We're childless this weekend.

1) Specific builder can't meet current UDC design requirements, so he cried to the CMO. No sympathy received but now he's got a bunch of other builders in line. Strange thing is, most of the other builders haven't had any problems meeting code . . .

2) Why am I so tired on Thursday nights? I went to sleep about an hour earlier than usual last night.

3) No plans for lunch. Maybe hit up a local place for a sandwich? Or a burger?

1) About to head to an Employee Event, themed on Sunday's Big Game. We partnered with Parks to host, knowing that Parks is the best organized, with-in department here, and that most of the pre-event work would be taken care of in advance. So my group is mostly doing clean-up, but I'll be there to mingle and smile with the big wigs that wanted this event but didn't want to host.

2) Total girlie day planned tomorrow. Nails, shopping, lunch - all that's missing is a hair appointment!

3) Had a developer do a complete 180 on his approach to staff on comments issued. Why? Turns out his engineer dropped the ball, and now the developer has apologized to staff. Totally out of character for this guy . . .

5. We're going to continue the Monk binge-watch. We're half way into season 2. I think Sharona leaves in a few episodes.

1) It is nice right now but will rain this weekend.
2) I wonder what I should eat for dinner. Oh, it is national Pizza day you say.
3) The past two weeks have been a little crazy. I worked a half day last Friday and took extra hours off this week and still ended up with more than 90 hours during the past two weeks.
4) I had to have a CT scan done today. The tech was not amused when I asked of the machine would make me glow or turn me into spider man.

3. We added a third cat to the household about a month ago (one year old male) - integrating him with our two older bonded sisters was, um, interesting, but everyone seems to be getting along all of a sudden.

Millennial fragility friday:

1. I need to sell my Mercedes. Its becoming too much having to DAILY it since I totaled the Volvo. it was never intended for that, It was supposed to be my project that I would make road worthy over 4 months for Euromeet in Ithaca in May. NYSDMV is scheduled to issue my title in two weeks, they take up to 90 days to do so from initial registration. It cant come soon enough, I need to get rid of this hunk o junk ASAP.
2. I got another Volvo to be my daily. A really clean 1992 244 sedan with 140k actual original miles! Its a 5 speed manual and was a Virginia car most of its life. Catch is, I got it from a normal person who didnt really understand what they had and how to care for it. Seller mis-signed the title and now I have to wait until the replacement comes to register it. Its being stored with my Greek Car Wizard's shop until than so its fine but still FML.
