The "S-zones" in Yonkers are districts that only have detached Single-family residential dwellings of specific lot sizes (in feet). There's S-50, S-60, S-75, S-100 & S-200.

There are many other types of residential districts in Yonkers that don't start with an "S"--or an "R". They start with another letter, or letters, to represent them. For example, Yonkers' "UR" = "Urban Residential".

Terminator, if you find Yonkers' zoning system to be intriguing, feel free to start a topic in the Zoning Forum.:)
