Any plans?
Go on...Heading south to a state I'd rather not be in for activities that will be fun despite it all.
Thanks, but no thanks.Go on...
Cool. I avoid New Hampshire like the plague because it's cold. Thanks, but no thanks.
Helsinki.<snip>
I have a big birthday next year (30, can you believe it??😁😉🤪😳) and trying to figure out where to go to celebrate.
What about it do you like?Helsinki.
You'll thank me afterwards.
Check out "Old Town" Pasadena while you're there (although I haven't been there since the start of Covid, so who knows what it's like now).-Vancouver & Los Angeles for 2027 (If I can afford it)
Mrs. Bubba used to live just a few miles from there (Fairport).-Why bother going to Austin when I can have Dinosaur BBQ in Rochester?
I've never been, actually, but it seems very walkable, clean, and interesting. If you go and like it, then I could bump it up my list to visit after I retire in two years, three months, and 30 days. What about it do you like?
We are considering a Finland trip for 2027.
There's a really cool mid-century modernist apartment complex there called "Evergreen East" and a really good Wegmans on Palmyra Rd.Mrs. Bubba used to live just a few miles from there (Fairport).
Siting on a beach in St. Lucia in February ain't too bad (trust meWe have a pretty great 2026 planned...
St. Lucia in February.
Sydney and Melbourne Australia in June.
Yes, we have been to St. Lucia twice and enjoyed it both times.Siting on a beach in St. Lucia in February ain't too bad (trust me). Australia is kind of my holy grail for a travel destination - Mrs. Bubba just doesn't even want to think about spending 18 hours on a plane. Hopefully her recent flight to Edinburgh and then back from Dublin have gotten her a little more used to long times in the air...
I really want to sail on a freighter with passenger space from the west coast to New Zealand or Australia. A lot more than 18 hours, but I could catch up on a ton of reading.Siting on a beach in St. Lucia in February ain't too bad (trust me). I am always happy to help out a friend. I would be happy to go check it out for you!I've never been, actually, but it seems very walkable, clean, and interesting. If you go and like it, then I could bump it up my list to visit after I retire in two years, three months, and 30 days.
(Not that I'm counting, or anything.)
Yeah...no. Unfortunately for the tourism-based part of the Jamaican economy the damage from Hurricane Melissa is devastating (reportedly a 30% GDP hit) - the resort we were going to go to next year won't reopen until a couple of weeks after we were going to be there (at the earliest). We'll push that back to 2027...at this point I'm just relieved that the resort company was very quickly able to account for all of their employees as alive and well.Jamaica (sixth time there) for a few days in May - that's it so far for concrete 2026 plans.
Barbados instead for our May 2026 trip.Yeah...no. At certain times of the day there is a certain odor to it as well. But they have pastes help with that. The capital of Cuspid is pretty nice with its twin peaks, the Molar region has some nice back country areas too, although Incisor is the big city you see up front in all the brochures.
And when you depart, you wave at the capital and say "bye, Cuspid"The capital of Cuspid is pretty nice with its twin peaks, the Molar region has some nice back country areas too, although Incisor is the big city you see up front in all the brochures.
