There are many times we see people and assume particular things about them. But every once in a while you stop to think "Wait... what?" A good example of this is Michigan State Basketball Coach Tom Izzo. On the court and in the press, he might be the last of the great 'old school' coaches in all of NCAA. The raspy voice that carries over a crowd as he yells directions at his players, or screams at the ref for a stupid call. He is a grit about him that makes you believe he goes home for a cigar and a whiskey at the end of the night.
But no. He practices his accordion on occasion.
I have to admit this is not an interment that I would associate with the likes of Tom Izzo, but then I remember is is a former Yooper and eastern Europe & Scandinavian heritage of the area supports things like this.
What are some other surprises that you know of when it comes to people. Something that makes you think, well, that's a surprise.
