1. Our first camping trip of the summer is only a few days away. (Yes, I know, late July--our first one, scheduled in June, was cancelled due to conflicting obligations) This weekend, I'll go through all our camping stuff and make sure it's all well-stocked and working. I'll just make sure to do it quietly this time, and not at 2100 hours. Oops.
2. Our backyard nine-hole minigolf course will be a transport theme. My idea is to have every hole be themed around a different famous transport station somewhere in the world. For example, "Waterfront" (Vancouver) would be the hole by the water feature/fountain, "Flushing/Main St." (NYC) opposite the bathroom, "Goose Hollow" (Portland) near our goose sculpture, "Kings Cross" (London Tube) as hole number 5 where you cross over to the "back four," etc. *
3. My mother-in-law is now President of the Rotary Club of Sparks. I got to see her first meeting yesterday. So happy for her!
Jim
* Can I call "out of bounds" a "derailment" instead, with a one-stroke penalty?
Oh, and since this is just for the use of us and our invited guests, my thinking is I do not need a permit and the fact that our parcel is not zoned for outdoor recreation should not matter. It's not going to be open to the public.
