Daily things 5️⃣ The Sunday Afternoon Club

I just got home from a late afternoon/evening bike ride. My son and I went for late lunch at our favorite BBQ place.

Whats the thesis on?

The implementation of school impact fees for our local district. Public Administration Master's... not a MURP.

(The idea came to me after many meetings during which the district superintendent repeatedly asked me to reduce off-site utility construction requirements due to lack of budget).

This is a bit early, but I wanted to give Vancity something to work with. A friend is out hiking near here, and he just sent me a photo of a cougar track. A cougar track in bear poop. Yes, we live in nature here.

I'm sick and there are 13 more days until my next day off work :(

Going to the doc after work.

Baaaaah, Bad Sunday! Bad!

A cougar track in bear poop. Yes, we live in nature here.
And we don't live in nature here?
Witness NYC cougars making tracks in snow mixed with Wall Streeter bear poop.

Round here we just shoot nature. It makes for a good dinner.

Yes, here, too: my friend actually was out looking for elk to stick his arrows into.

Just deer and possum around here. There are some of those cougars too, but we try to marry 'em or shoot 'em before they get that old.

it's Friday people.. where are you? Unless your celebrating like this guy,

you need to make this a club, not a party of one!!!
OK, so this wasn't the biggest hit
when it was posted Friday afternoon...

Let's see how it goes at
The Sunday Afternoon Club
.:)

I have an incredible hang over. The S/O finished school this week. I joined their celebrations. Now I'm dead.

Meh. I mopped the kitchen floor and went to a kids' birthday party. I made donuts this morning. I liked doing that.

40 mins until I get off work!
Ahead are grocery shopping, laundry, cooking dinner and making a lunch for tomorrow.

The temperatures have cooled down to bearable so we're cleaning out the attic - now doesn't that sound like fun!

Hey what are you all up to today!
Its thanksgiving in Canada. I'm still at work... but I'll be having dinner after! Hope its turkey. Does anyone eat something other than turkey during the holidays?

I'm in Louisville visiting family. I spent time with two of my cousins this morning and am off soon to another cousins dinner.

Went shopping with RT, got some good deals on clearance summer clothes and shoes. Just in time for our cruise next week and my trip to the DR in November. I am super tired though because the neighbors two doors down threw a quinceanera party in their backyard. It started at 9pm and ended around 5am. I called the police 5 times between 2am and 5am. Total no show and dispatch's explanation was "their busy and this isn't a priority."

Getting ready to go for training. We're leaving tomorrow and returning Thursday evening. Today is spent cleaning, laundering, packing and cooking for the boys, who are holding down the fort.

not in this order -

recycling, drop off donations to goodwill, unloaded the dishwasher, laundry, read the sunday paper, called Mom, shredded old papers, spent time outside

I like Sundays, because it's one of the few days we are both home and can have dinner together. Made some pasta with wild mushrooms and a green salad, had a nice bottle of Pinot Gris from Oregon, and ended the meal with some really good dark chocolate. :)

The chili, by the way, was the best I have made in a long time. Too spicy for the rest of the household, but just right for my tastebuds

Was in the NC mountains Sunday. My brother & I played golf in the morning, then picked up our wives & went downtown H'ville for lunch. Went for a drive to see more fall colors. After we dropped them off back home we drove home ourselves just to get settled to watch Game 5.

I didn't get to post yesterday because I had to train a new girl at work (permanent job, not internship). 5th one in less than 5 months. I wish my department would stop turning over :not:

It's raining so not much doing outside. I might go to the gym later. Yesterday I took the wine bottles to recycling and cut up some of our old siding for firewood. We're burning it right now. Watched the Oregon-Stanford game last night.

I have seen all the episodes of MI-5. I get a kick out of the Brit perception of the CIA. When I lived in DC I had friends who worked at the CIA and others at the NSA. They are normal people, not psychopaths. I even considered applying for an analyst position at the CIA a couple of times.

Usually I try not to use the heater until November. Last year we didn't get close (I started it on September 28th.) So far, no heater yet and the wood stove is doing a good job of heating. That cedar siding burns hot!

I've had a bad cold all week so I'm staying in. I'm going to make pumpkin gnocchi from scratch soon. I made Belgian waffles for breakfast.

SOS -
read the sunday paper, buy a mega milion ticket, recycling, run dishwasher, go outside at least it is sunny, fill up the car gas tank, ....

Insomnia this morning.
____________

Torn contact lens this morning. I'm working on one lens in my left eye. New lenses get picked up tomorrow.
____________

One of the dogs may have kennel cough. This could jeopardize our trip to California next week.
____________

ZG has about 10 wrist watches. The batteries in each are dead.

RT's boyfriend has a 4 day leave so he and some of his fellow Marines came up from NC for the weekend. They came to see us this morning so I made a huge Dominican breakfast for them. It was nice having a house full of people now that we have some space for them. The Man and rt are taking a nap, I'm surfing the net and watching the tube.

Enjoyed a bonfire last night. Today I am at work as per the usual. Very hungry and eager to go home and eat |

Sparkllng wines

I face a serious dilemma this morning: should I open the Navarro brut, Mumm Napa rose brut, or Chandon blanc de noir for brunch? All three are chilled in the frig. I know, first world problem.

went on a hike then a walk in the downtown area with my friend, the bar owner, now working on an ad for an early-to-bed-newspaper-deadline then watch The Good Wife with my landlady - kids up north

It got up to 51 today. Rainy but with enough breaks to put up the xmas lights
