NEVERENDING ♾️ The NEVERENDING What's For Lunch Thread

Bojangles pimento cheese biscuit and green beans.

Leftover shrimp and noodles with veggies. Needed more sauce (a bit bland) so I put in a little more last night. Hopefully it's better now!

Bowl of ramen noodles, a handful of chips, and a can of orange Faygo.

I had some ramen as well (I added some celery and leftover shredded chicken from a rotisserie chicken and a slice of cheese that I stirred in). No Faygo though so maybe I'll have to turn in my Michigander card.

Vernor's would be an acceptable answer too.

Come on man...even I have some Faygo stocked in the house and I'm out in Arizona. Mostly because my daughter likes the crap, but still...

Half a can of Cambells bean soup. Handful of chips. Can of lemon lime Faygo. Meh.

They don't sell Faygo at either of the grocery stores I frequent (and we don't buy much pop in general) so I rarely ever get it anymore. These days, we only get Faygo if we are at my parents house (my parents, who go through maybe a case of pop every other year still buy tons of Faygo just in case any of the grandkids are over... my girls think it's some sort of designer treat) or if I get a pizza from a party store near us - that's when I like to treat myself with a bottle of Rock'n Rye or Red Pop and a bag of Funyons.

Today's lunch was a bowl of spicy chicken noodle soup, a white pizza with a runny egg on top, and two All Day IPAs from Founders (trying to redeem my Michigan credentials).

Protein shake. Slice of cheese with two slices of deli turkey. Small handful of crackers.

Very boring, but this is my lunch most work days.

According to their location map there is no Bojangles within 50 miles of me.

However we have a Biscuit Belly.

Went home to wait for a delivery of my new oven and found half a "Smoky Southwest" turkey sandwich in the fridge that my wife bought. I had that and an orange.

I read that wrong, and thought you were eating a random sandwich that was inside a fridge that your wife bought. Sometimes I am concerned that it seemed reasonable to me for just that moment. "Cool, the new fridge is here. Hey, awesome! Bonus half-sandwich!!"

I'll just have to wait and see if I get anything in the oven to go with it.

Delivery bonuses are sometimes good. This was the bonus at a midnight doordash of my son.

So, do you cook 'em any differently with 'em bein high-strung?
Gotta catch 'em first. That's probably where any differences end. Mine are layers who will probably just go on retired status when they stop laying, sort of an age-in-place scheme. I'm a wimp about killing my own food beyond fish and lobster.

I have eaten raccoon.

All I remember is it was leaner, stringier, and gamier than bear, which I had at the same meal (a game supper fundraiser where we also had deer, elk, moose, beaver, quail, rabbit and who knows what else).

Leftover frozen breaded shrimp from the supermarket (heated up surprisingly well on the air fryer setting in the oven), pasta salad, a Mr. Q Cumber sparkling water, and some cottage cheese with honey.

I have a mortadella sandwich. It remindsbme of a movie called Lady Liberty. Sophia Loren plays an Italian immigrant who brings a mortadella to the USA as a gift to her new husband. She can't bring it into the country and refuses to turn it over to authorities.

I'm thinking the seafood mix from the local grocery store deli on croissants is in order for either lunch or dinner tonight. Need to add Gouda, lettuce, and fresh garden tomatoes.
