NEVERENDING ♾️ The NEVERENDING What's For Lunch Thread

I grilled up a sandwich with sliced turkey, cheddar, with some bbq sauce on it. Very good, if I say so myself.

I eat way too many "box TV dinners." Not the healthiest, but easy.

You'd think with at least 30 restaurants around here within a couple blocks I could do better. :-(

I have a choice of leftover spaghetti or leftover mexican food. I'm going with the the one that gives me the most fuel.

Leftover homemade chicken piccata and some angel hair pasta. Afterwards I'm going to walk to the custard stand up the road from my office.

No custard for me today. Got up there just after 1:00 and the darn place wasn't open! They're supposed to be open at 12:30 and it looked like I wasn't the only disappointed customer as there were a few people milling about the little tables and sitting in their cars waiting for the shutters to go up.

My German exchange student and I used chicken breasts last night to make schnitzel. I'm using the leftovers to make a sandwich when I got home. I'm looking so forward to it that I ate other stuff for breakfast, just to save the chicken.

Love me some schnitzel.

But what are your thoughts on schnitzengruben?

I love Popeye's but haven't been in years. We don't have that many around us, the wait is always forever (even when there's nobody else in line), and the service has consistently been horrendous. There is one literally across the street from my office but I haven't been therein at least 6 years. Maybe it's time to give them another chance...

I won't go to those near my home. I got a glimpse into the kitchen of one, and it was cluttered mess. The hand washing sink was full of boxes and dirty rags. Their local places are owned by the same franchisee, and I expect they share the lack of hygiene.

Our Popeyes is a PITA to get to, especially @ lunch - plus the Community College is across the street.

I did go to BoJangles this week.

Not sure what today will bring, but I guess I need to start thinking about it.

So, delicious food , or not? I can't tell from your post...

I had quinoa and some yellow squash leftover for lunch today. I'll tell you -- it wasn't great. I even made a quick perusal of unknown condiments in the employee fridge but came up with nothing to flavor it up.

An apple, beef jerky, lightly salted almonds, a Twix and a Big Kat.

Washed down with water.

Leftover ham, cheese and noodle casserole, with a soda to wash it down.

Forgot my orange, so that'll be part of tomorrow's lunch.

A chili dog...even grilled the hot dog. Had to eat up the leftovers since my kids do not. Sounded good. Added a little cheese, sour cream, onions, chipotle ketchup, and bacon bits.

Going to the state APA conference, which means I'm going to miss the annual Chili Cookoff lunch, hosted by the Fire Department, this week.

On another note, I had ACP for lunch today.

Cup of Ramen. That's for lunch. My local neighborhood WalMart (don't judge me dammit) doesn't have cup o soup or Maruchan anymore. All they have is this Chef Wu's Ramen Express and I DON'T LIKE IT!!!! I don't think there's even any MSG in there, I can't taste it anyway.

Two drumsticks and two hardboiled eggs today. Then someone brought cake in. Then someone brought candy in. Then someone brought donuts in. In about 20 minutes a long nap is in order.

I had food I brought from a restaurant- glazed pork belly over griddles corn cakes and pimento cheese with apple jalapeño jam. Good stuff.

I had a frozen Jack's pizza for lunch yesterday. I'm here to announce that it was okay. Satisfactory. Adequate. Met lunchtime requirements. Carry on.

Ramen noodles, and a handful of peanuts and a handful of potato chips. Oh, and a can of lemon lime Faygo.

An unappetizing plate of leftover brussel sprouts, butternut squash, and a wild rice/bean medley. Topped off with some sort of chia seed and blueberry pudding.

Think I need to go raid the cafeteria downstairs.

Yeah. I'm gonna say GET your ass down there right now! Butternut squash, don't make me come get you. Don't make me!

Had leftover "summer salad" which is a Costco salad mix and then add grilled chicken, green onions, cooked ramen, and a dressing of oil, apple cider vinegar, sugar, and ramen packets. Salad mix has cranberries, pumpkin(?) seeds, and green leafy stuff.
