Bobby Jindal is out! Oh no! .....................Wait, no one cares? Yea that's about right.
I don't know what's worse, the fact that one of our presidential candidates (at least his staff) can't find an accurate map of the US or that we have to go through this kind of fear mongering every time there's a new wave of refugees. It used to be anti Irish back in the day, then we hated Mexican's (still do), now we hate Syrian's. And for all those politicians and their "base" that want to thump their Bible, Mary was a refugee too.
... And for all those politicians and their "base" that want to thump their Bible, Mary was a refugee too.
Yeah, but at least Mary spoke English. :wall:
Seriously, its kind of scary when a leading presidential candidate promotes registering all American Muslims and there is pretty much no backlash. We get more worked up by celebrities saying mildly un-PC things than we do serious threats to our constitutional rights by our politicians and those aspiring to be politicians. And this is after a terrorist attack in another country - can you imagine the roll back of constitutional rights and freedoms if another attack happens here?
Can you tell me anything that isn't scary about Trump? (Besides his daughter that is)
I agree 100% that there should be some way to get those refugees here in the US, while keeping the US safe.
We have this place made famous during WWII called Midway Island. It's 1500ac., has a port and an airfield. Why not start there? It's sub-tropical, so no heating or cooling issues, water piping can be laid right on the ground, and the location allows any number of pacific rim countries to send aid. From there, those wanting permanent asylum could apply for it.
Donald Trump is just incendiary now. Not that he wasn't before, but he is just going bonkers now....
Why the Muslim database won’t doom Trump

I find this funny, insomuch as scary funny. Like you laugh at something that truly terrifies you. This guy is just awful.
He is still on the top of the GOP polls too, which I think says something about the republican electorate. Populism is the term that the newspapers are using to be nice, but honestly it just shows we have a huge portion of our population who is scared of things they don't understand, are racists or xenophobic, or are just uneducated on the truth.
He said he will run as an independent again if the GOP doesn't treat him nicely. He is going to sue Kasich for putting negative ads about him on TV in the NH. This guy is a baby with lots of money. One that doesn't understand much, makes threats without thinking about the consequences, and tells on EVERYONE for everything, when he is doing the exact same things as them.
I wish the republicans would just move on. But obviously they went the other way from their 2012 report told them to go....
After 2012, the GOP Set Out to Be More Inclusive. What Happened?

I am starting to wonder if the GOP base is so frustrated with the candidate pool that they will vote for an outsider despite the stupid crap he spews. I pray that he does not get the nomination.... but like I said, I will vote for Bernie before I vote for Trump. If it comes down to Trump v Hillary, I am going 3rd party.
That's what happened in 1912 (Teddy Roosevelt) and 1992 (Ross Perot).Rubio is going to be the nominee. The question is will Trump go 3rd party and make whoever the D nominee is win?
It doesn't matter if it is Bernie or Clinton if Trump in it 3rd party. The D's win.

Maybe I will vote for Vermin Supreme, after all, he seems more sane than Hillary or Trump.
And so Turkey shoots down Russian fighter jet near Syria. I don't think I am going to be traveling to the Soviet region anytime in the future. This is not going to end well for that side of the planet. I just hope we don't get involved.
Considering the Soviet Union hasn't existed for 20+ years, it should be pretty easy to avoid.![]()
I didn't say Soviet Union, I said Soviet region. (You know, a combination of the former soviet block countries).
I think the idea of Soviet, in general, isn't used much, if all all. It's either Russia or one the countries that emerged after the the Soviet Union went kaput.
There were riots in response to the police video of the black man being shot 16 times by white police officers because he refused to drop his knife. A day or two ago, it was announced that the police officer was fired and is being charged with murder, and the family of the shooting victim asked that the video not be released in fear of riots...
What are your thoughts.
You've definitely confused the definitions of "riot" and "protest".![]()
Well, Turkey always seems to get a bit agitated around Thanksgiving.
What? Too soon?
The planned parenthood shootings in Colorado this weekend was an act of terrorism. Please call it what it is. There is no real difference between that and a gunman that goes into a restaurant and shoots into the crowd for religious reasons. This coward kills people because they have a different view than his. His motivation is encouraged by the (proven) fake secretly taped videos of an organization out to denounce planned parenthood missions. This domestic terrorism should be viewed in the same light as international terrorism.
Then Cruz & Carly announce its all a liberal left-wing media plot. :-c:-@:-{
Rant off. Sorry folks.
The part that gets me is if this person was pro-life, why did he murder innocent people? Seems backwards if you ask me. I think the only thing we know for sure about the shooter is he was not mentally stable.
I agree that this is a form of terrorism and should be treated as such, but as we have seen in the past, this administration does not like to use that phase. The "workplace violence incident" at Ft. Hood is a perfect example.
So it's "Obama's fault" ?!?!?! Really?
In 1997, Eric Rudolph (The Olympic bomber) bombed a lesbian bar in Atlanta, wounding five people. In 1998, he bombed a reproductive health clinic in Birmingham, Alabama, killing a security guard and injuring a nurse. The "Army of God," which hosts Rudolph's writings, claimed credit for his attacks.
In 2010, Justin Moose was arrested for plotting to blow up a Planned Parenthood clinic...he called himself the "Christian counterpart of Osama Bin Laden."
I called out Cruz & Carly in my post. In their comments they sound like closet supporters of these people. At least "this administration" doesn't do that.
All of our lawmakers need to take a harder stand and talk the same talk concerning domestic terrorism as they do with international terrorism.

Does anyone know where I can find a:
4,486 died and BUSH LIED!
bumper sticker?
(Oh I forgot, this is the Blame Bush, Obama can do no wrong thread. Well you know what, Obama is a terrible president and we as a society are worse off because of it.)
Personally, I am not the biggest Obama fan, but I certainly don't think he was a terrible President. I assume you think blaming everything on Obama is different than the crowd that blames Bush for everything?
If you wouldn't mind, please let me know what makes him a terrible President, and our society worse for having him as our Chief Executive. I am interested in brevity as I most likely will respond with further questions.

- The Affordable Care Act resulted in further monopolies by the insurance companies resulting in health care that is not affordable to the middle class and lying to the American people when he said that it wasn't a tax, but changed his tune when SOTUS said that it was constitutional to require a private citizen to buy a 3rd party product only because it was a tax
- Race relations in this country have not improved and seem to be spiraling out of control.

By the end of his term, America is worse off than when he was elected with full democratic control of both the House and Senate.
And before you go all "Well Bush did this and Bush did that..." Bush was not a good president either so don't bother.
