NEVERENDING ♾️ The NEVERENDING Beer Thread

Rogue Brewery (since 1986) in Newport, Oregon has closed. Both breweries and their 3 pubs ceased all operations last week.

Evidently they owed $500k in rent to the city of Newport and some $36k in taxes.

I called my brother in the mountains here to go by Ingles & pick up a couple of 6=packs of Dead Guy Ale & Batsquatch IPA - I had bought those up there in the past. He was able to pick up some, so I have given a couple away to beer friends and drank a couple.

I haven't bought any Rogue stuff in a while but always enjoyed it. That said, I do recall them having some management/HR issues a while back and thought there were some accusations of attempts at union busting? Looking it up now it sounds like they had some big failed product launches in the past few years. Aren't beer sales declining all over the country? I wouldn't be surprised to see a few more of these mid to larger-sized craft brewers close up shop in the not so distant future.

In my beer news.... I was excited to discover one of my lunch spots has 12 ounce bottles of Lindeman's cherry lambic! I never noticed them before but recently sat in a different spot than I normally do and saw the distinctive label poking out behind a couple bottles of Michelob Ultra. The raspberry lambic is my favorite but the cherry isn't bad either.... especially when I noticed the bartender rang them up as the $3 Mich Ultra they were hidden behind instead of the $8 - $10 they are probably supposed to be.
