Humor 🤣 The haiku 'what are your weekend plans' thread

Same old same old stuff
Creeps into its petty pace
Dreading Board Monday

drink beer watch tv
take care of some household chores
Boring life indeed

Watch Psych or The Crown
Get the rest of the beans sown
Grill some hamburgers
Bonus round, baby!!!

Car repairs for me
With one hundred degree heat
Forecast, start early

-bonus

Why, Ford? Why, Ford? Why?
Design sucks beyond belief
My kids learn swear words

Drink beer grill sausage
Spend the day collecting thoughts
Finish garden tasks

Nothing too special
maybe can some more green beans
I don't know what else

Car repairs for me
With one hundred degree heat
Forecast, start early

-bonus

Why, Ford? Why, Ford? Why?

Looking back on this post on 6.21.21 and I realize the car repairs I was in the process of was what caused me to be involved in an accident a few days later on 6.26.21. I was replacing the O2 sensors on my son's car and the clip on one sensor was reverse of the harness on the car. Took it back to the parts store and accidently left the old sensor on the counter. Two blocks from the store, I must have realized this and turned around, did not see an obscured stop sign, and hit another vehicle. My memory from just leaving my in-laws farm to several hours after the accident is erased from my memory. No memory of the accident, lights and sirens on the ambulance, xrays, ct/mri scans, stitching on my eye, talking to my wife (who was working at the hospital) and medical staff. But I did have a conversation with someone (to remain nameless except to my wife) which is really mysterious experience. I cannot remember anything else but this.

pull weeds from side yard
sow the remaining veggies
open back porch up

Do some garden tasks
Finish transplanting peppers
Take a well-earned rest

Back from vacation
This week now looks long and bleak
Wish I was camping

Can all the green beans
Harvest and dry the garlic
Take it easy, man
