Inspired by the foodies thread, this food pyramid thread gives you the opportunity to share your favorite foods with fellow cyburbians.

For each category in the food pyramid, share your top three favorite foods.

Grains and Fibers: Bran Muffins, Shredded Wheat, Kashi Go Lean Crunch Bars
Fruits: Banana, Ruby Red Grapefruit, Blueberries
Vegetables: Spinach, Asparagus, Avocado
Proteins: Black Beans, Filet Mignon, Roast Beef
Fats and Oils: Salted Sweet Cream Butter, Olive Oil, Sesame Seed Oil
(I'll include this one, though I don't think its necessary to any diet) Dairy: Sharp Cheddar, Greek Yogurt, Dubliner Cheese
 
Grains and Fibers: barley malts, India Pale Ales, and Belgian whites. (in case we're looking for other forms of grain I'll go with caraway rye toast, Bay's English muffins, and french baguettes)

Fruits: Blueberries, watermelon, apples

Vegetables: Spinach, Onion, Asparagus (not sure if potato chips would go here or not?)

Proteins: T-bone steak (medium rare with mushrooms and onions), Ukrainian sausage, and chicken vindaloo

Fats and Oils: salted sweet cream butter, Reddenbacher seasoned popcorn oil, apple butter (not sure would peanut butter go here?)

Dairy: Feta cheese, Edam, and Butterkase cheese


Picking only three is tough. Especially when you consider lots of yummy things like pizza can have all of the above on them)

Vegetables: lima beans (yes, really), cucumber, carrots
Proteins: BBQ baby back ribs, bacon, turkey w/ gravy
Fats and Oils: butter, olive oil, cashews
Dairy: Jersey Creamline 2% milk, a good swiss cheese, Cascade Fresh blueberry yogurt

Fruits: Banana, mango, fresh pineapple
Vegetables: artichoke, Asparagus, Avocado

Fats and Oils: Salted Sweet Cream Butter, Olive Oil, Sesame Seed Oil

Grains and Fibers: basmati rice, any kind of artisanal type of bread, wheat bulghur.

Vegetables: Jersey tomatoes, garlic, spinach, parsley, bok choy, cilantro, bell peppers, onions, field greens, romaine lettuce

Proteins: BACON, lamb, chicken, shrimp, mung dal, urad dal, gandules, chickpeas, fava beans

Fats and Oils: salted sweet cream butter, olive oil, tahina

Dairy: whole milk yogurt, drunken goat cheese, Chimay, Crater Lake Blue, and too many others to name.
 
Grains and Fibers: Rye bread, whipping cream biscuits and pancakes
Fruits: plums, blueberries and satsumas
Vegetables: asparagus, brocolli and yams
Proteins: pork chops, crawfish and roast beef
Fats and Oils: butter, peanut oil and bacon (nutritionally classified as a fat and not a meat)
Dairy: smoky cheddar cheese, gouda cheese and yogurt
