A friend texted me "This is some crazy shit" at the end of regulation. I responded, "we got free soccer".


The first 70 minutes was a good game.
The last 50 minutes was a great game.
 
Pele passed away today, he was 82.



A dynamic player that did things nobody had seen before. I actually got to see him play in person when he was with the New York Cosmos. He was way past his prime, but he was still one of the best on the pitch that day.

I think objectively that winning 3 World Cups makes you the best of all time. He also did wonders for the sport and its growth.
 
Wow Chelsea is in a downfall & haven't been doing well on the field at all. They acquired Joao Felix just a couple days ago to help out, who in his debut match got sent off with a straight red card. Karma - or bad juju - is on Chelsea (which is okay in my book). HAHAHAHAHAHa

Joao Felix, who only joined Chelsea on Wednesday in a £9.7m loan deal until the end of the season from Atletico Madrid, was shown a straight red card for a horrible lunge on defender Kenny Tete after 58 minutes and will now be suspended for three matches.
 
Just bought tickets to see Chelsea v Wrexham this summer in Chapel Hill.




Wanted to see Aston Villa and/or Newcastle, but they're playing in Orlando & Philly.
 
21 goals across 3 matches yesterday in the Premier League. That's crazy.

Relegation battle with only 3 matches left. Three teams are going down, but there are 5 or 6 teams that could.
West Ham - 37 points
Nottingham Forest - 33 points
Everton - 32 points
Leicester City - 30 points
Leeds United - 30 points
Southampton - 24 points

At the top of the table is Manchester City with 82 points and Arsenal with 81 points.
 
Manchester City wins and collects the Treble. I have several friends that say this one comes with an asterisk due to the Saudi money. I agree but Arsenal, Newcastle, PSG, Real Madrid all have middle eastern money flowing in. It's unfortunate it's about the money now more than the competition.
 
Just applied to volunteer for Euro2024. Our city is a host city. Fingers crossed that I get selected.

Euros start soon. Sad to say I wasn't selected to volunteer. Stupid language barrier. And we weren't able to score any tickets to any games. Sad trombone.



At the end of the month they are opening up season ticket sales for our city's team. The problem is you can only buy 2 tickets but there are 3 in our family. So do I attempt to buy the two and then Hubby or Itty Bitty can join me. Or do I pass on the chance and then try my luck (HAHAHAHA) and getting 3 tickets to random games.
 
Looks like Mbappe will miss the next game due to a broken nose. That's a shame. You don't want to see the players actually getting hurt instead of just flopping about.

We were in a train from Paris to Munich on last Friday night with about 5% of all of Scotland. They were in great spirits and were really fun in chiding even the German children on the train.

They got killed, but I can tell you that 5% of Scotland can drink like 75% of all the beer in Munich. It seems that EUFA teams also all have stickers. that they put ALL over the place.

With that said, it was a lot of fun to be in Munich for the games. Romanian fans are also nuts. Scotland has better cheers, mainly because I can understand the language... kinda of.
 
Our NPSL team had their last home game Saturday. Unfortunately we lost 1-0 and it was a good game. We had one shot that hit the crossbar, then the rebound shot hit the crossbar, then another rebound shot hit the crossbar before being cleared. Wish we could've finished. Oh well.


Very good support for the first year!

England lost the Euros
Argentina won Copa
HFC won NPSL Conference Championship in the inaugural season
 
I often think I have some psychic powers! The Euros was a fun tournament! Lots of good games and camaraderie.

Glad that Spain beat the Brits.
 
Chelsea beating PSG in the new club world (revenue) cup for FIFA was a surprise.
The trophy lift was surprising too with a certain person wanting to ham in on the fun.



Our little 4th division team made it to the Regional Finals this Sat!!!
 
Our local high school men's soccer team plays for the 4A state championship tomorrow!

They're playing the team that beat them last year in the quarter-finals.
