Hey, I am back from the city of Baltimore - it was a great conference - ULI really does a good job at being useful (and you get AICP credits) - Baltimore is a nice city, wasn't expecting anything, so everything was a surprise

ULI is useful sometimes yes, I used to get my employer to pay for me to attend their panels in NYC when I worked in the housing world. Very real estate and business focused, but when you need that kind of connections to try and syndicate a tax credit deal, ULI is useful ;)
 
I had a great experience with ULI at my last employer. They did a TAP (Technical Assistance Program) which features a panel of their members from various disciplines. They came to my city and were fully immersed for like 2 days and produced a very impressive plan and guide for the future redevelopment of an older industrial area directly adjacent to a thriving downtown. There was some staff work on the front end with having to prepare a briefing book and then leading a tour when they arrived but it was a very positive experience and I highly recommend it.

We have an active ULI group here. Last month they did organized a tour of one of our local new urbanism projects and did a Q&A afterwards at the bar.

I am not sure how they are cooked at the factory but I would imagine due to the thickness they would be cooked longer. Kettle cooked chips have slightly less fat per serving than traditional chips, but the calories are the same. So in theory kettle cooked are healthier than traditional.

Are "psychics" a thing of the past? I thought so. Ubiquitous 1990s infomercial. Just head a commercial (on commercial-free satellite radio) for California Psychics. $20 for 20 minutes. And if not "life changing" refundable.
 
It snowed today and apparently over the last 15 days since the other snow melted everyone forgot how to drive in it...
 
I think if some person came in to sing to me, that would be weird. Like sitting me down one-on-one to sing me a song... Even if they were a famous singer, it would just be awkward.

We still have one psychic that has a sign in her yard offering readings, tarot, and other things. While I don't hear infomercials for psychics, we do have some for local Christian prophets who will tell you what they dreamed about you.
