Outlook now defaults to an online teams meeting. I have had to train staff on how to do calendar invites.

It is things like this that make me question the logistics of Amazon... I am really curious what happened between 4:15 PM on Monday and 11:42 last night. Also why it wasn't delivered on Monday as intended.

I'm gonna guess it went out for delivery on Tuesday, but on a wrong truck, or the driver simply failed to deliver, and it ended up back at the carrier facility where it had to be reprocessed.

Just amazes me given I have had situations were I order something at 11:00 AM and it is at the house before I get home from work. But a simple package the size of a note book takes days of processing.
 

Anyone else remember hearing this one? For some reason it sticks out in my very earliest childhood memories
 
Hoping I can go to work without witnessing a murder today. Didn’t sleep well with that incident from yesterday replaying over and over and over in my head.

Wondering if I should just take today off, or if it would count as workers comp and not against my leave bank.
 
Watching a show about Egypt's tombs and a comment is made about a plundered burial chamber and items that were likely taken from the mummy. The comment of something like "...amulets were taken from the mummy's person...". I dislike the use of person. It is the mummy's body. The person is long gone.

31 years. But here's the thing, Paul is just a loudmouth who fancies himself a boxer but is really more of a YouTuber. He's fought no one of any merit. So yeah, I'm rooting for the old man to beat the hell out of him. And I hated Tyson in his heyday but I enjoy few things as much as some young punk running his yap getting his comeuppance.

Agreed. Alternatively, if one wants to sound more macabre, I'd use 'corpse'.

Additionally...isn't it generally a bad idea to remove amulets from Egyptian tombs? 100+ years of culture and media indicate such.

I won't be watching, but can't help to think Tyson lost a great deal when Cus D'Amato passed away. It seems Tyson had no structure afterward and bad influences had access to him Cus would never have permitted.

I have never really cared about boxing or Jake Paul but, based on what very little I do know about Jake Paul, I do hope that Tyson beat's the sh!t out of that guy. Actually, I'd probably be fine if Tyson wanted to make a career in his older years now just beating up random influencers and YouTube celebs.

A friend is in town from DC for a memorial service for his dad that was yesterday and a few of us are meeting up at a brewery this evening and I am sort of hoping they have the fight on one of the TVs there. If not, I plan to watch it when I get back home if that's possible (I have no idea how live sports work on Netflix).

They wouldn't even have to be celebs by my reckoning, even something they represent would be adequate to serve the purpose. I could see a whole new branch of the entertainment industry spawning where just random people that are engaged in various annoying behaviors get an absolute ass whipping administered by a skilled fighter. They could be staged like so many lame videos on social media are today:

Tough guy walking on campus somewhere: "Excuse me, can you tell me where the restroom is at?"
Annoying guy: "We here at Harvard do not end our sentences in prepositions."
Tough Guy" "Okay, can you tell me where the restroom is at, ASSHOLE?"
Annoying guy begins to gesture but it all comes on too quickly. Tough guy has firmly grabbed Annoying guy by the hair on the back of the head and beating his bare fist into his face, resulting in a nose bleed, and broken teeth....

Looking at my keyboard, I'm trying to imagine what the most difficult letter to write is. Maybe a W? It has a lot of strokes just like an M, but somehow an M seems easier. K is always a difficult letter for me to write - regardless of whether it's upper or lowercase, my Ks are always sloppy.

As pointed out on various social media platforms, does anybody use the 7 on your microwave keypad when cooking/heating? Next time I use, I'll have put in 1:27 instead of 1:30, or similar.

I often (re)heat day-old donuts in the microwave for 7 seconds...as 10 seconds is too many and 5 seconds is two few.

For reasons I don't comprehend, or maybe for no reason at all, my habit for decades has been that I never let the microwave count down to zero. I set it for a few seconds more than I actually want, then remove the food when there are 2-3 seconds left. I may or may not clear it back to zero afterward--that's optional.

I've been known to open the door prior the buzzer but completion of the timer - it is possible.
 
I got a new chair for my desk. It makes an unfortunate noise if I shift in it a certain way.
