Last night at dinner, my youngest asked how many different times are there. We were not sure where he was going so we started to respond with the following:

  • Time Out
  • Time In
  • Out of Time
  • Back in Time
  • Dinner Time
  • Lunch Time
  • Breakfast Time
  • Bed Time
  • Nap Time
  • Break Time
  • Time Zone
  • Snack Time
  • Regulation Time
  • Over Time
  • Time to Leave
  • Time to Arrive
  • Time to Answer
  • Quitting Time....

When you think of it, we have a lot of time... yet not quite enough.

Miller Time (even if Miller is crappy beer.)

Just accepted the largest building permit fee in my 20+ years of working in local government. $350,000. By far the largest project my community has seen in several decades.

D@mn! That beats our $80 zoning permit fee.

Mrs. P left her phone at the restaurant we went to before the soccer game last night. She realized it when we got to the game, I got on the 'Find My Phone' & there it showed at the restaurant. I called & actually talked to the waitress that served us, she said hold on & found it under the table. We went & got it after the game (& gave her a nice tip).

Let's just say there was lots of relief when she got her phone back.

well I did a walk-through of our local strip club today and man, the décor is so early 90's - I know the guys that go there aren't looking at the décor but still, wow

Not a strip club, but Mrs. P took The Girl to the local skating rink several years ago, she said it is the same as it was in the late 70s. No changes.

Same thing with our local rink, which as of about four years ago was still stuck in 1986.

That moment when you find yourself randomly singing a decades-old Aerosmith song you hadn't thought about or even heard in years . . .

And probably playing the same disco hits! No Taylor, no Beyonce, no Flo-Rida, no K-Pop.

Fun fact: Dua Lipa roller skates in high heels in the video to "Levitating." I don't know how she does that.

6-month rental in new city...

Wife is expecting an offer tomorrow or Monday. Job is going to be more involved than she anticipated. They are building their cardiovascular program and they want to her to develop the nursing side of the program and run it.

Anyone else come into work this morning with a down computer? Our IT staff members are walking around and fixing every computer one by one this morning.

Our computers are working, but my bank's site is down so I don't know for sure if we got paid today. Not that a delay of a day or two or even a week or two will matter (we aren't that close to the edge), but it's always nice to be able to see the money go in. :)

We have several of our systems down, including our timesheet program and our build and code enforcement program.
The county wide permit system we use is down. The County's IT staff told us to contact applicants and let them know. The system is down so I don't have their contact information.

No noticeable IT outages here while I WFH and connect to the office remotely. Also no notices from our IT department about disruptions.

Everything computer-related down at work. Reset and reinstalled Windows, and now it works though every program and file I had is gone. I'm never going to remember my ESRI password...

Have you ever noticed that when you subscribe to emails from a place, it takes 10 seconds before they start arriving. But when you unsubscribe, they tell you that it will be 7 to 10 days, and even then you have to unsubscribe 10 more times and threaten invasion before they take you off their list...

Anyone else getting more spam calls today than usual? I've had 5 already today. My automated response usually convinces them to hang up, but a couple political calls got through earlier in the election cycle.
