Dog Lol GIF by The BarkPost
Storey County, Nevada, where I live, was crowned "Nevada's healthiest county" a few years ago.

It also has more bars/saloons per capita than any other county in the US.

Coincidence? I think not.

Not sure if the healthy thing still holds true, since in the ensuing decade we have gone from zero to one fast food restaurant--an increase of Infinite%. We still have dozens of bars, though--not bad for a county of 4,000!

Oh good, it is a full flight today. I am happy I pack light and my carry-on can fit under the seat in front of me.

Maybe if they didn’t charge such an arm and leg for checked luggage, people wouldn’t try to cram everything as a carry-on.

It's been a very, very long time since I was a groomsman (+/- 40 years). I learned yesterday that my son will be one in a wedding this summer. Can anybody refresh my memories, help me plan what I'm going to have to shell out (since I'm his sole source of income)?

I don't recall any expenses beyond suit rental, well one time it was a kilt rental.

Are you bothered by your showerhead preventing you from lathering up ?

I take a shower, I want that beautiful head of hair to be nice and wet.
Lather, I want it to be lathered beautifully and I get the best stuff you can buy.

We went to my brother's house for my niece's high school graduation this weekend. My brother had recently gotten a pellet smoker and I could smell the delicious chicken smoking as soon as I opened my car door. He also had a massive slab of salmon that he had smoked the day before and a bunch of sausage that he had just taken out of the smoker right before we got there.

I've decided all my meals from here on out must contain some form of smoked meats and will be searching for my own smoker accordingly.

I love the smoker because you can split up your workflow through the week and still eat like a king. Monday night, trim and salt overnight, 30m. Tuesday night, add meat to marinade, 30m. Thursday evening prep veggies, 30m. Friday morning put everything on the smoker, 15m. Friday night, take things off the smoker and feast 3-4 hours.

If I can't get a good lather from my cheap suave shampoo it's because I've got to much oil or dirt in my hair, not because of my showerhead. Also pulling DJTs man card for admitting to use something other than discount shampoo or body wash on his hair.

I think it kinda depends. My son was a groomsman recently and the only cost was a specific suit & tie, I think it cost him like $450.

Why is it that stuff being transported on a ship is called cargo, but stuff transported by car is a shipment?

My drive to work sucked but in an awesome way. The freeway was shut down to one lane because of a big accident so I started using the main streets instead. You know, arterials! On my way I got to use the suicide lanes where you just drive in the yellow left turn lane and I saw an emu in someone's yard. Day made!

Given Cyburbian Sarcasm or SAW is there going to be a $hit Show ?
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm. Popcorn and a Shiz Show. Monday gets better and better and better until it drives you to the middle of nowhere and leaves you for dead. MMmmmmmmmmmmmm.

Had an event where we handed out different kind of smores

Deconstructed smores: all the ingredients in a bag
Gluten free smores: everything but the gram cracker
Almost vegan smores: just a marshmallow
Diabetic smores: just an empty bag.

Now that it is all official and everything, we will be switching states (staying in the south) and I will start my new job.

This is going to be a great thing for my family and I, but it is going to be a process to relocate.
Just give it time and know that at some point you'll all establish new routines and everything will feel like home again.

I remember when we moved 13 years ago and I had so much angst that it was the worst thing I had done to my family. Looking at where we are at now, and I can't imagine our lives any other way.

Not to be a downer. I'm just thinking about men. Not that way, @DVD! (I could hear you responding across time and space before you even read those words :) I'm thinking about the experience of being a man. I just read an article about a survey of men that really struck a chord with me. When they ask men to describe the experience of being male, the words that come out are things like "lonely" and "expectations" and "stress". I know that the experiences of being a woman in the world have to be enormously challenging, and I could never speak to that. But men don't often talk about their feelings, especially the ones that make us feel, well, not like men...if that makes sense?

In general, we're not good at friendships. Not like we were when we were kids. I hold on to those memories so much. We're not good at relationships that aren't based on either humor or sex. We often times don't dare show our real feelings, because it seems like every time we do it freaks everybody out. Does my family honestly think that I'm not scared? Do they think I've just pushed my way through the world not having any regrets? It's all still right here with me. Every disappointment, every rejection, every single loss, every time I wasn't good enough. So when you push me, and I finally show you what I really feel, you have to be ready. A grown man talking about his feelings may as well be a toddler, learning to jump into the pool. You can't ask him to do it and then not be there. If that happens, he'll never jump again - and you'll have earned his silence in the future.

Anyway, long dumb way for me to say I'm grateful for all of you Cyburbians. Go hug somebody. And don't be afraid to talk about your feelings. Not you though, @DVD, your feelings are too scary. :)
