Are you asking AI to say random shiz for you now, just to help @Maister get this to 3000 before afternoon break? Don't tease me with Albuquerque and I don't think Jack Palance could run when you were old enough to be in an Airport in New Mexico!!

write a quick story about Jack Palance throwing a shoe at someone in the Albuquerque airport

ChatGPT

Jack Palance, the legendary actor known for his intense roles, found himself in an unexpected scene at the Albuquerque airport. As he waited for his flight, a heated argument erupted nearby between two travelers. Sensing the tension rising, Palance, ever the vigilant observer, stood up to intervene. With a swift and decisive motion, he removed one of his shoes and hurled it with precision, not at the combatants, but at a nearby potted plant. The shoe landed with a resounding thud, effectively diffusing the situation and drawing startled gazes from all around. With a wry grin, Palance quipped, "Sometimes, all it takes is a little sole to stop a squabble." His unconventional tactic left onlookers both amused and impressed, a testament to the unexpected flair that Jack Palance brought to even the most mundane of moments.

What kind of shoes does Jack Palance throw? His shoes, or did he push down a rando, take their shoe and throw it at you? Is this some sort of meta "believe it....or not?" thing you're doing to me now?!
Old man shoes!

What I think actually happened is he was changing or tying his shoes and I politely say next to him and asked for his autograph and he stood up, yelled at me, and stomped away. Breaking my poor little innocent heart. In Albuquerque.

Wish today was over. I'm struggling to stay awake and it's grey/humid/looks like it'll rain later.

Anyone got some toothpicks?

No toothpicks - we are office professionals. Conduct yourself accordingly.

3 Blackhawk helicopters just flew over downtown heading in an easterly direction.
Helicopters from Fort Campbell fly to my fair city occasionally.

If you want to see massive number of helicopters - screen shot of flightradar24 - southern Alabama

Used to get blackhawks in Kansas all the time. That's because Fort Riley was nearby and there was a bombing/practice range in my county. Here in Arizona I get to see F-35s and the occasional A-10 if you're out by the range.

I may be instigating a fight here but I don't get crunchy peanut butter - the whole point of peanut butter is the word butter - just eat some peanuts if you want something crunchy - stoppit

aaaaaahhhhh
I may be instigating a fight here but I hate peanuts and peanut butter.

My aversion is so strong that I avoided all nuts until I realized as a middle-aged adult that it was only peanuts I didn't like.

We were in a work group meeting yesterday and a woman in our group mentioned she was going to a concert that evening. SOmebody asked who she was going to see and she said, The Decemberists and most of the folks in our group just smiled and nodded because at 45, I'm one of the youngest, besides the woman going to the concert and another woman in the group. Somebody else piped up with, "Yeah, none of us know who that is" and I replied that I had seemed them just a few years earlier at the same theatre.

I got back to my desk where I've got a stack of old ticket stubs and actually found the one from that concert but I was off in my estimate by about a doze years. I took a photo and sent it to the work group to prove that I used to be cool. And then she replied by simply saying, "I was in the 4th grade."

Ouch!

I'm 61 and I know who the Decemberists are. I've got one or two of their CDs.

So in March I used weed & feed on my front lawn, the kind for St. Augustine grass. The St. Augustine looks great but what I didn't realize is that I had a pretty significant clover patch in one corner of the yard. The weed & feed thinks clover is a weed.

Today I dethatched that whole section of my lawn, took over two hours with a thatch rake (that came with the house). I think tomorrow I might see if I can get me some St. Augustine plugs at the Ace Hardware and try to take that corner of the yard back over.

Yep, that was my Yardio for the day.

All I got is the question why natural peanut butter with 2 or 3 ingredients is so much more expensive than the processed stuff with God knows what's in it?

Cause peanut oil is expensive and palm oil is cheap. Take the peanut oil and sell it in a bottle and replace it with the cheap stuff.

Occasionally, fighter jets are spotted in the Linville Gorge Wilderness area. I have seen some cool videos taken from some of the peaks showing the jets flying below. I figure that the are from Seymour Johnson and/or Shaw as have seen videos of F-16s, F-15s, and F-35s. The coolest thing that I witness locally is seeing a pair of F-16s doing a low altitude fly over up the river when I was duck hunting a few years back. They were low enough that I could see the pilot's head through the cockpit's glass. I expect to see military aircraft in eastern NC, especially when I go fish down at Topsail Island, but it's rare in the western part of NC.

I used to live on one of those air bases in Eastern North Carolina so saw plenty of aircraft everyday for a few years (plus a year+ on LHAs with all sorts of helicopters and AV-8B Harriers but I still enjoying seeing the aircraft.

My favorite was when I was hanging out on Onslow Beach one sunny summer afternoon and a bunch of CH-46 came in real low along the shoreline from the south and then stopped and a bunch of Marines jumped from the doors of the helos into the water, swam to the shore, got in some trucks waiting for them and drove away. The entire process took maybe 15 minutes?

There is some company around here that uses helicopters to help lift and install heavy equipment on some of the large factories or buildings too tall for a crane so every once in a great while I'll be outside and see what looks like a converted 46 fly over carrying a massive AC unit or generator or something. That's always cool to see too.

Way back in the day when I was growing up down the Jersey Shore I remember seeing a flight of B-52's -
that were low enough to be recognizable.

I'm a champion at eavesdropping. A lady at the table across from me remarked that "he" is almost done paying child support. 1. Is she the December part of a May/December relationship?
2. Is she talking about her son?
3. Does "he" have to stop supporting his kids because the court order ended? One thing I can say about my former husband is that he continued to financially support our kids when they needed help. That's all I got.
4. Taylor is always hungry because she picks. She is so picky.

Cue smart a$$ response.... were they coming back from the great war?

It's Fan Fusion weekend (comic con). There's nothin' but nerds and geeks running around this place and I don't mean the good types like myself. I did see one lady dressed as an elf which was cool. The rest were all bad beards, cat ear headbands, and ramen noodle shirts.
